Medical Lecture

A professor at University of Mississippi was giving a lecture on "Involuntary Muscular Contractions" to his first year medical students. Realizing that this was not the most riveting subject, the professor decided to lighten the mood slightly. He pointed to a young woman in the front row a...

Howdy John and welcome. Good looking bike! If the guy spent near as much time maintaining the internals as he did the rest of the bike, I'd say you got a great deal. Glad you got your starting issues sorted out.

Cool find. I REALLY like those easy to get to air boxes. All of my XR's have them and there's no excuse for not doing the maintenance.

Wonder if anyone has tried a CR500 in one of those AWD frames? Not that you really need it, but would be interesting to see. :?:

Kinda intersting to go to all of that trouble to make everything black, but still use a white mud flap for the swing arm.

Actually, not too far off

MPS sells complete bikes but occasionally does frames. Best to talk directly with George Fanelli - 419-351-4707

Thanks Mojo; I can see where taking stills with the same camera would be handy. But, that Samsung camera does look like its got everything you need with that exception and it's $368 now - I've ordered one. Just hope the lens is wide enough to get my fat ass!

Swing Arm Bushings for a '01 CR500R motor in an '02 CRF450

I made up a little drawing to get some bushings machined to fill in the exposed spaces between the engine case and the swing arm when mounitng an '01 CR500 engine in a '02 CRF frame. I had some old bearing sleeves that go between the bearings and the swing arm shaft that I cut to fill in the gaps bu...

Only problem is I don't have a video camera nor does the guy I normally ride with. I've been thinking about getting one but have been too busy spending money on bikes and maintenance. You guys have any suggestions on which video camera works best? I there one that is good to use with a helmet camera...

MPS MX500AF (KX500AF)

George Fanelli at Motorsports Products and Services builds both CR500AFs and KX500AFs (no, I don't want to hear any shit about using "AF"). He does great work. I know; I have one of his CR500AFs. I weight over 400 lbs and jump the bike regularly on an MX track so I can testify there are no...

When AJ posted pictures of his KX500AF, I posted pictures of a KX500AF made by MPS (the guy who did my CR500AF conversion) and they deleted my post. Later in a seperate discussion about KX500AF's, I tried posting the pictures again - not advertising, but trying to show there are others doing it and ...

Howdy from Texas!

I've been riding motorcycles, off and on road, for the last 40+ years. Did some amateur MX racing around Texas in the late '80s and early '90s on my '87 CR500R. Currently, I have 7 bikes. A '01 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Classsic, '01 XR400R, '06 XR650L, '06 XR650R, '87 CR500R, 01 CR500R, and an '01...
