I have one of Roostys decomp heads with the modified squish. It works bloody mint, with absolutely no detonation under load, even on crap 95 octane. I'm a fan !

A combination of the 2 styles works best. See Groutaone's excellent effort, or my build thread. I love how smooth mine is with the new headstay, compared to how vibey it was with the original. (similar in concept to the second option shown above). Spent several hard hours on it today smashing whoope...

G'day Warrnum. GMBond is right, a storage unit is a cost effective answer. I had a single car size lockup, with reed switches, and motion sensors, in a secure gated compound, 24 hour keypad access, for $180/ month. I had 8 bikes in it while I extended my workshop, so one half the size would be heaps...

WTF ,,, less power than a 500 ,,, but ya gotta love the airbox and air boot, must be there to suck up extra crankcase blow by I noticed the airboot too, PMSL ! It is the most basic chop, stretch and weld-back-together job, so much that they didn't even bother removing the redundant airbox ! The rev...

Bad news man, I feel for ya. I live in dread of the day I come home to find the same shit. Gregrobo tells me you might be moving the Gen 4 on as a result ? I hope you don't, coz then the cuntz have beaten you. Their low act has then robbed you of your enjoyment of your own bike. NO FUCKER has the ri...

The challenge is prolly' getting one with the right reserve capacity. Look for a XR tank the most resembles a CR tank , like a XR600 or something.... The reserve capacity is easily adjusted by altering the length of the main tank pickup tube. I have only ever had to extend one once, and standard cl...

Re: More power with Choke?!
Hi, I noticed that my Cr5 has more power when I leave the choke turned in. My feeling is that I got around 2-4 hp more with the choke. I got a Sudco PWK 41 racing carb. I have to look my setting up can't tell you by heart. Needle is around DGH/J/K/L and as far as I know clip in middle position, I g...

Re: Pipe repairs
For those of you guys that have a cracked, plated pipe, have it TIG welded using a Stainless filler rod. I have about 4 cracks on my pipe, and all look to have been Tigged with stainless. The welds dont rust a bit, and it didnt get into the plating too bad on my PC Platinum, you can hardly tell it ...
