Well got a few more things done this evening. Drilled out a broken bolt in the triples and installed another helicoil. Replaced the shifter. Removed the gawd awful number plate, the sticker is just not my style. I ordered a newer styled one, hopefully will make the bike look a little newer. Replaced...

I know right?!? That poor kicker was nipped and tucked and still blown out like a Tijuana street corner deposit box. Very unhappy about the broken case boss. It runs so good I hate to split the cases to get that fixed. My buddy had bought it to do a aluminum frame conversion, I was half thinking abo...

Picked up this 89 over the weekend
A friend of a friend tipped me off to this bike. Typical story, can't be started, too much to handle, etc etc. $1000. Well can't really beat a running CR500 engine for 1k so I had to go check it out. I get there, check it out, not too hurtful on the surface. Rear shock is leaking, forks are leaking,...

would anyone mind taking some head tube measurements?
Does anyone have a steely 2001 cr500 frame sitting around that they can get some accurate measurements of the head tube dimensions? overall bottom to top measurement of the head tube, and how deep the bearing race bores are? I'm trying to avoid disassembling my bike to get the measurements. Doesn't ...

Anyone know of a CNC lathe machinist?
I'm looking to try and find someone to make some CR500 style head tubes for a project I've been working on for a while. Was hoping to have 10 made.
Anyone have a friend who does side work or runs a hobby shop?
I pretty much want to duplicate the 01 head tube only without the step on the outside.

WTB: 90-01 CR500r cylinder that needs sleeved
Looking for a cylinder that's in good shape but on it's last bore, or has liner damage that needs a sleeve to repair. Would prefer no porting work done on it. Hoping to find one cheap.

Honestly I didn't run either of these cranks I got them in a lot of parts. I don't know history on either of them. As far as the journals upon visual inspection they look good as far as my knowledge. The one crank has some light surface rust on the edge of the journal. Otherwise no marks or burns or...

FS: 2 short rod cranks
I have two short rod cranks for sale I think they're 86 cranks. One will need a new rod, the other maybe runable depending on how picky you are. The lower end rod bearings are decent on both but the one's piston end is rough. Threads and splines are in great shape. I have no idea what these are wort...

frame differences between the 85 and 86.
I know this is an odd question but can anyone post up pictures of a 85 vs a 86 frame? I have an old 80s aftermarket kit to bolt on convert a 500 to a trike but i can't tell what year the kit is designed for. I have pics of it bolted up to a 85 frame but it's obviously not quite right because of the ...

FS: 85 CR250 ATAC cylinder, cool head, 2 dome and piston kit
I have this cylinder and piston kit for sale. I'm trying for $400 + shipping. This was supposed to be a hot ticket setup back in the day for Honda atc250r's in combination with a paul turner high-rev pipe and a 38mm pwk which is what my original thoughts where for it. I did bolt this on my takeout b...

Changing from trailing to leading axle will change the handling on the 250r pretty dramatically. The 350x was designed with leading axle. Changing the rake and trail, could possibly make steering really heavy. I've fought that battle on my conversion. Obviously mines a dirt bike frame and custom fro...

I have a couple old frames I was going to scrap, you can have a head tube, may even have a pink to go with it but no gurantees on that as we don't have to register dirtbikes in Nevada. Nothing is hot so I could sign anything you need signed. Let me know and I will saw it off this weekend. Much appr...

Anyone have a bad frame who wants to lop off the head tube and sell or give away?
