250f? I think guys were changing just the airbox in 05-06 models and got back to 04 style which was single muffler, not dual. Thanks for the info. Not sure how different they are, but I was wondering about the 450F for my application. I have a 2002 CRF450R conversion and will have a '08 CRF450R fra...

Air box question

Would a CRF-X air box fit into a CRF-R subframe? In other words, are the subframes for a CRF-X and a CRF-R different so you couldn't put an X air box in a R subframe?

Yeah, I never trust anybody who says something I'm buying is "ready to go". I've already got another seat for the '84. I've done top ends on my '87 and '01 500s, but haven't torn into an '84. Haven't ever had to split cases though. The '84 doesn't look like it's been apart - still need to ...

I ended up getting it for $800. It's 99% there and I've picked up some parts off of ebay. Got a ton of other projects that are more pressing so it'll be a while before I can get some pictures up. MH - thanks for the info BP69 - thanks for the info. It's in a little better shape than the one you have...

Ouray, Colorado ride

Some friends talked me into going with them on a ride to Colorado. We trailered up from Galveston. Texas to Ouray, CO. We stayed in Ouray and rode over to Silverton the first day and back (over trails) as a shakedown cruise. The next four days we went to Gunnison, Crested Butte, Delta, and back to O...

Doesn't seem to have any. I would think it would idle up higher (run lean) if there were. Performance seems no different - low, mid, and top end of the rev spectrum feels the same. No difference in how the power comes on compared to without the spacer. Will work with it tomorrow evening.

Didn't notice any difference on the track but the bike won't idle now. May need to tweak the air screw a bit.

Roostius said he recommends it with his porting and that it should help even a stock engine. I put one on my bike yesterday and ran it a couple of passes on the street in front of my house. Didn't seem to cause any adverse effects and jetting seems fine. Will take it out to the track this weekend to...

Moose Racing Torque Spacer

I searched but didn't find any details - excuse me if this is a repost.

Has anyone used one of these on an '01 engine? If so, did you notice any difference and did you have to re-jet for it?

1984 CR500R

Got an opportunity to buy a 1984 air cooled CR500. Until I saw this one, I thought all of the air coooled bikes were 480s, but the original head label says right there 1984 CR500 and it was built in late '83. Problem is, I know nothing about this year model and was wondering if anyone has any input ...

MPS conversions may not be the prettiest, but they work. I've had mine since 2006 and haven't had any issues. I've heard people having problems with fitment that just had frames modified; mine was a full bike. If it can take a 400 lb guy jumping it, I'd say it's decent build quality. I will confess ...

The only good thing that happened in the last four years is the U.S. elected the first black president. This has shown how far we have come from being a racist country. Why couldn't it have been Allen West or someone like that? I do hate Obama for trying and putting in the steps to destroy the U.S....

If he were the VP pick, I'd think it would all but cinch the Republican win. Only problem I see is he makes Romney look like a little bitch and I highly doubt Romney's campaign will go for it.

Either someone was messing with him and told him the wrong way to start it or he's a complete idiot. He's got to have a stone bruise on the bottom of his foot after that and as other said, he doesn't know how close he came to REALLY screwing up.

For this I'm going to form my own company. It will be a health insurance agency and you can pay me $100 a year for coverage. 2008 CRF450R frame conversions?

I just picked up a 2008 CRF450R roller and looking to have it converted. I believe I understand what needs to be done but don't have the proper tools nor welding experience to trust doing it myself. That being said, I'm looking for recommendations for the best quality place/person to do the conversi...
