I havn't found much info on how the races work. I guess it will be a bit like last year, but I don't think the desert vipers are involved this year are they? They moved the location to race town too didn't they? I think it will help keep it open in the next few years by getting the race out of down ...

I think he has a storage unit some where and is waiting the 7 years for the papers to get dropped from the DMV so they don't come up as stolen anymore. then he has a bunch of bikes that are "his"

So which unclassified race is everyone in on? I am planning to do the unclassified B/C 9AM Evolution 2pm Open C sunday or the sport 15-29B on sunday. I am hoping registration doesn't fill up. I have to wait untill sunday when i get my checks to pay for it. things are tight coming out of the holidays.

I have been running a Maxxis IT. Not the desert one, but i just put the desert IT front on the 250. I love the rear IT. I have been running it since march last year. in the woods in crestline it has lasted forever. now that it is desert season it is really showing its wear, but the tire is like $56 ...

The fire is anything but sleepy when jay has fireworks with him. the first time i saw him throw a pack of poppers in the fire i thought he was crazy. and just when you thought they were all done and start to get sleepy... they start up again.

I think i am going to sign up for the open B and the Evolution with the xr. I am really excited about doing the race. I have never done one before. I just have to convince the wife to let me sign up for more than one class.
Do you guys think it is a good idea to do the unclassified too?

I am not going to be able to make it to AZ cause i can't aford to take off a sunday right now but I am thinking this event is a must and i can get home for sunday. I am doing this race even though AZ would be such a cool trip.

and you said it is still cool on pump gas? I don't really want to do motor work that will cause me to pay for race gas when i don't race. I don't have money to throw at my hobbies like that. Can't the same thing be accomplished with a thicker base gasket? or does that take it too far?

This may just show my lack of knowledge for motors, but I read somewhere that using a lower compression piston set up will give more bottom end power where a higher compression piston will give you more top end. is this true? Bob, thanks for ilustrating my frustration. It doesn't help figure out what is going on, but now everybody who can't read knows what is going on too.

i swear mine does not burn. it is a greenish brown and will not take a flame. any ideas? it's not gas or oil. the only other liquid on the bike is coolant.

I have tried to burn it. it just bubbles. no water in the trans. I don't get it. it's like a greenish brown.and thick.

I have cleaned it with carb cleaner, air, towels. It usually leaks after a hard ride. a few days after the ride, it is leaking again. I know it's coolant on my bike cause it won't burn. it looks like fresh oil or premix if you use a brown oil. I just keep the bike topped off and am waiting for a tim...

can it be from a leaking head gasket? not trying to steal this thread... it might all be relevant.

are you sure it is premix? my bike leaks coolant down there under the case. my bike store guy said one of the water pump seals is bad or in backwards. collect a little and make sure it burns. the stuff coming out of mine is like the color of new motor oil but it is coolant with dirt mixed in form th...
