my experience is that the 2-into-1 setup works fine. On a 500, it's all about laying off the clutch and haulin' ass! That keeps them temps down. BTW: nice stuff there Mikey!!!

pretty sure the answer is no. The 250 coil (which some claim you can use) is considerably smaller than the stock 500 coil. The adapter I did not only allows you to mount the coil, but it also moves it away from the heat of the jug...FYI.
