Yeah...I said screw it and just pulled the subframe off. Got the sag right but the rebounds a touch on the fast side one click from full. It will get worse when the oil heats too :? I may back the preload down to get the rebound in a better range. That might be the bandaid until I can send it off fo...

Yeah. I tried that, couldn't get it to budge. I was wondering about a strap wrench around the spring, but it just slips between the windings.

sorry to bump a old thread.

Can you fit the spanner with the subframe/air box installed?

Anyone have any tips to adding some preload? I know about the hammer and screw driver.

Surging question

Sorry if this is elementary..... Im having a weird off idle-deceleration surge. As the motor decels I get maybe 2 or 3 small surges. Here's what Ive done... I pulled the leftside cover and that crank seal is good. Ive also, for what its worth, sprayed some starting spray at the cylinder to case seal...

Got a new pipe from FMF today, it was supposed to have 2 orings to seal it at the flange...It had only one in the baggie...well Im a impatient fella and am looking for something to just get it done...beside those orings usually dont last me that long. The metal sealing ring fell out in 3 pieces too ...
