Geez, that was awfully kind of him, don't you think Roosty? Given the chance to call him to confirm what you already knew. Wow, that's taking customer service to a whole new level. Takes all kinds doesn't it?

ACL

I have had the good fortune to tear both of mine. The left one I tore before I was smart enough to buy CTI braces. I was riding a bicycle 2 weeks after surgery. Although that was part of the re-hab protocol, the doctor said I was perhaps pushing the timeline a little early for that. The same doctor ...

08 250CRF parts for sale

For anyone who is looking, there is a seller over on vitalmx.com who is peddling parts for an 08 CRF250. Looks like he probably blew it up but I don't know for sure. Didn't even bother to respond to the thread. Looks like he's trying to part out the entire thing but once he realises THAT will be a P...

I've owned a CR500 and never had any trouble getting a decent idle or overall jetting problems. Whether I was at high altitude or where I'm at now which is about 550 ft above sea level. Everyone else modded the shit out of their motors that switches over to a PWK? Sorry for the hijack but this is ra...

Oopsy, I forgot. Throw in a new plug and make sure the gap is right as well. Eliminate that part of the equation for potential trouble and you will be able to get a good read on your jetting.

Ouchie! That makes a difference. When I lived in Calgary at 3500ft the rule of thumb was down 10% on jetting, I would think probably 15% for your elevation. If the stock main is 170 then try a 150 or whatever is closest and you can adjust from there. Same thing on the pilot. Probably set your clip b...

I will risk sounding like a dumbass here, but did you check to see where the idle setting is? I assume you know it is in the choke knob and if you didn't well..... turn it to see if it makes a difference. As well, yes that o-ring is very important, as mentioned previously. Since I don't know I will ...

Thanks for the advice bear. I completely agree with you about the people who should NOT be in business if they can't do the job properly. All the mistakes (save the headstay) that came on this frame have been fixed. So I cant contribute to the process. Will try to put up a pic of the stay. When I fi...

Getting some differing views on a headstay here. My AF project from MPS (don't even get me started) came with a piece of 3/8's dowel with 2 tabs welded on it for each side of the head stay. That don't even come CLOSE to fitting properly. It runs from the existing tabs on the spars for the 450. Thoug...

Haro: I'm a newb here. Hopefully I don't come across as negative. (Goes for any other poor sap reading this) I made the mistake of getting my frame modded at MPS. The shop royally screwed me. Long story short, got the frame home and when I started to assemble it, the motor would NOT fit down into th...
