K dogg (Kelly) from this site did the billet parts and we assembled them, and when i say we i mean mostly done by a mate Mark. The Y is recessed at the joints (no butt welds) and the reason you can't see a weld on the cradle is we went for a seamless look, i was going for the OEM look in regards to ...

Only have a coupl...

I'll go for piston failure, if its still on the original. Yeah with that much shrapnel I'd be splitting the cases to flush and check everything out. Rebuild using the info in the stickies if your just going stock and trying to control the dollars.

never ceases to amaze me the prices you guys pay for stuff, thats at least a 5K bike over here. I have picked a few good deals up on parts over the years from the states but postage these days is starting to be killer.

Dunes gearing

Picked up a 88' rear wheel with new sand paddle for $80. The rims a bit ordinary but will do for the limited use it will see. I'm panning on using it at some dunes in far North Queensland and dry river beds around my local area. As I've never done this sort riding I was wondering roughly what sort o...

Just checked it out, it's good to see so people can be aware of how he operates his business. The bit that get me though is the shit attitude to trying to resolve/ fix customer issues. I imagine Stoffers door is just about being kicked in with potential work after Bob posted up some of his work. Che...

This shit cracks me up, but do you honestly believe the 'other' party will do better or have the average family in its best interest ? Yeah I'm on the other side of the world but it's the same basic principle of lying to the masses used by all pollies. I don't know what the answer is but you can't k...

The bike belongs to a guy in mackay (2 hrs from me) it is set up for drag and beach racing. The motor is heavily modified and runs methanol not to mention extended swing arm and custom pipe for the motor. Agreed on the vid being crap quality, but I've seen this thing at the beach races and it is qui...

stating the obvious but thats a worn motor in need of some TLC. Close ratio boxes were standard issue from Honda 89-91 if i remember rightly. 91 up was wide ratio. Sounds like the only custom work on that bike will be the rebuild your mate will be doing. :bash:

I'd agree with that comment, unless it was dunes. I rebuilt my motor for the Finke desert race this year and put the close ratio 5th into the box which when running 15/40 made it easier to keep on the pipe in the deeper sandy areas and still enough go to round any one up that I came across.
