Ironman sprocket BOLTS REALLY REALLY suck!

The hex head is about 3/16" deep and strips out very easily.

Gen 4 rear sprocket/CS sprocket alignment question.

Up grading the 05 to current wheels/brakes from the 87 stuff it came with.

Any ideas what [if any] hoops I'll have to jump through with the rear hub spacers/spacing to get the rear lined up correctly with the cs sprocket?

I just want to be ready when the new stuff arrives.

All right, it's figured out. 87 Ft. wheel machined for 05 bearings using stock axle. Rear: Swingarm was welded up and machined for 87 axle and modified for break caliper. I'm going to try and round up a swingarm, front and read calipers and wheels to bring it into the same decade as the rest of the ...

If the wheels are from an 87 the front is a 4 bolt disc hub and the rear is a 6 bolt disc brake hub, the front hub would use bolts with no shoulder ( 84-88 ) and the rear hub 6 bolt is only 87-88. If anything is different to this, they are later model hubs than 88. The front axle is the same...

I haven't gotten into it but the guy that built the bike tells me the wheels are 87 [and they sure look like it] and so are the breaks. I don't think he converted a roller but built up a frame. The ft. caliper has a fabed [not fabulous] piece that makes it work. The rear is just on the slider like n...

Gen 4 wheel interchangeability?

My gen 4 [05 CRF450] came with 87 wheels and break calipers. I must upgrade. Well, maybe if I can move some stuff I have listed here. Anyway, without jumping through spacer hoops what 2000+ wheels will work with the 87 calipers? I know the answer will be in the diameter of the rotors.....but ...

Depends on the track, I first started with a PC but the low end was a bit too soft (i'm used to a gnarly) so I switched to a gnarly and am happier but it's so strong down low I end up a gear high a lot and I don't think I'm getting much advantage from the 250 set up. I miss the revability of the PC...

Yes. Double Yes if you have skills. If U R talented enough to run em hard it really shines. The lighter FW helps considerably, BUT if you are not able to hold onto something that's silly fast don't waste your time doing it for MX. Things get kinda wild as the revs get into the midrange and the igni...

Sean, would I be correct in assuming that the complete 250 ignition/flywheel makes it 'better' as a motocross bike in your opinion?

So I know it's buried on page 137 or somewhere but what year 250 ignition/flywheel would bolt on to an 87? Would that same ignition bolt on to a 97? What are the crossover years that would do either? My CR500 information bookmarks are beyond out of control to the point where I can't locate what I ne...

Ok, my eyes are about crossed from reading threads here and "another" forum on the 250 ignition conversion. I now have a question. Seeing as fly wheel weight/DIAMETER must have a lot to do with the different feel of how they ride with the 250 conversion, what about just milling some diamet...

Clark Tank: 3.4 gal. & UFO shrouds [both black]

Just came off the 2005 CRF conversion I purchase a few weeks ago. Pretty darn good condition with all nut-serts intact. The bottom had a bit of heat and a push to clear the plug but not much and no leaks. Comes with gas-tap and cap. I also have a set of black shrouds that I just paid $57 bucks for, ...
