Keep us up on the build. I am also doing a KX500/CRF250 Gen 4 conversion now.

I believe the stock airbox and airboot work for that conversion.

Nice looking bike. Have the same graphics on our 125/500. We are putting the same motor(250) into a gen3 125 chassis.

I think you are right. Need to be able to fix them when they break.

What year is the donor? I have heard earlier than 89 is getting hard to find engine parts for. Not too sure.

I am putting a KX500 in a CRF250 chassis. Could not stay red on red. Looking for a different type power.

This is the stock CRF250 Y correct? I would use a Dzitting Y but my frame has been modded in the past and is cut too high for the Y. I am in So Cal. Thanks, Bob

The work fell thru at Patriot. He had my 125 conversion for a number of weeks and only had a partial pipe tacked together. I have seen him a couple times since I took my bike and he seems to have little interest in building pipes for the AF's. Maybe if some else approaches him on them, it may spark ...

Sometimes the stock CR500 airboot with a plate is a viable option. KX500 airboot might work also, as it is quite small in size. Is it using the stock 4 st airboot and is it too short, so the need for an extension? Maybe a longer or shorter CR250 boot is what you need? Photos help show a problem. I a...

Sometimes if you make note to other people, they see the long tem problem and make adjustments. I quess I could so what a POS headstay MPS builds.That would be negative.

Is the headstay a pivoting style on the sides of the frame too?

Nice looking bike for sure but someone in MPS must have been a plumber before building bikes. The carb fitting has to go.. Looks like a 2in. ABS connector to me.

That is a Scalvini, made in Italy. I have a call into a buddy that imports them. Trying to nail down a price for one.

I think if you check, he is Jercs. He has posted some and the parts look top rate. Look at a 125 build under Jercs and it should be the same part he lists on ebay.

I have a pretty complete 94 cr500 with tank. Will let the whole thing go cheap. In So Cal

I like the idea of smaller displacement. Still think going more square bore and stroke would make a very good combo.
