I must have missed any posting of it on here.

SWEET!!!:)
I was originally worried about it but I think the rod is good.
I might pick one up though since they're so hard to find.

Consider putting a catch bottle behind the number plate.
Then it would suck it back up.
I saw some duners with catch bottles.
I'm assuming your bike is healthy.

If it can be used for chain damaged cases, that would be great.
Or, repairing fins on air cooled cylinders.

Yeah, got your attention huh? :)
Found this on the Yahoo CR480 group.
Nice build but, probably a handful to ride.

Re: Husaberg conversion?

I have a CR500 in a 02 450 frame and do not like it at all (suspension is brutal, even after 2 revalves). So I have been on the hunt for another rolling chassis (prefer a KTM because I have a 525, 450, 350). I'm pretty sure it won't work. But I'm going to look at a 2010 Husaberg FX450 today. Motor ...

When I got my first one, I was slowly priming it with the kicker and it started. I was way down low on the stroke and it was very slow like when you're looking for TDC. That's why I put my finger on the kill button when I rock it back and forth in gear. Now, out on the trails I'll go through...

So, took the races out of the steering head for sandblasting etc...
How do I get the sum bitches back in without that special tool?
Kinda hoping I could put it together and just tighten the nut, anybody ever do that?

Hone advice

Need a ball hone for at least 2 cylinders and both are different sizes. Rocky mountain has 84-89mm and then another one for anything larger. I have a stock cylinder and one that's been bored one size over. It's been a loooooong time since I used one. Can I get away with one hone for both cylinders? ...
