Rebuild your stock crank with a Pro-X rod kit, do not use the Hotrods crank assembly unless you weld the crank cans to the crank wheels.

Thr carb, get a PWK airstriker from a 2000 cr250. Stay away from the vf-3 Reed, can make for tuning nightmares from reversion leaking back.

I'm going to post what 1985-01 production engines were intended to be as factory prepared parts. Keep in mind that all engines have the piston .005"-.008" below the deck at top dead centre with the OEM .021" thick base gasket. Some gasket kits base gaskets will alter this .002"-....
