I'm thinking about joining the roost whatever site and pretend to be a goober that wants to fit in and be a member. Might make for some fun stuff for ya'll to laugh about. Wonder how well they would enjoy some naked quad ride reports or some stories about pooping my pants or something like that.

I have noticed that many riders these days do a rabbit kick starting method. Until recently I just thought these people didn't know how to start a bike. When I was a kid, seemed like all riders had to jump up and slam down to start bikes, including the Harley guys. Now I see these young moto racers ...

It will fly because 7 acres is big enough to hide a track on as long as it's fenced around the perimeter. Here I have 40 acres and I'm almost done fencing the whole place. My track won't require much work to make because the land is undulating and has many natural berms and hills. I plan to just use...

My buddy has the TRX250R ignition and stator on a cr500 engine. He loves it because the flywheel is bigger and he feels it gives more torque. He has his rewound by Ricky Stator for 250 watts, and runs a H4 bulb. The main fabrication issue was the side cover needed to be extended, and at the same tim...

Wow, I have never had one break there, for me the rubber part has been the problem. Is the rubber part of yours hard as a rock? Because that would be the only reason it would break the metal tab from what I can figure. Unless the tab was somehow to tight I guess. Trip out on that.

I'm gonna respond, because I have some personal experience with a SH bike equiped with that ignition system. First, starting the bike is unusual. A good clean stock cr500 starts easy, at least the 91 and up do. Older ones take more kick to start in my experience. My bike is ported, head shaved, and ...

That's cool man, sounds like a dream of yours will be a reality soon. How many acres did you get? And that location, I used to ride at Bell Mountain alot years ago, fun place. Isn't the area around the mountain closed to off roading these days? Anyhoo, congrats and good luck with the venture.

Well you know how it goes Bob, sometimes nobody needs what you are selling, then a day after you give it to charity, you have a list of peeps wanting your stuff. My buddy was giving away two exhaust pipes for the hunny, and for over a week there was no responce. Then he tosses them in the trash, and...

It's nice to see that you (Bob) are going through all the aspects of this conversion as somewhat of the guiney pig. That will help future builders to acomplish their builds with the same bike. But I wonder what folks here think about the difference between that bike and other donors in reguards to p...

That's funny because comming from socal originally, and now living in Prescott Az., I can tell you for certain the MVD (dislexic motor vehicle department) is a dream come true for me. Back pain, what to do

Ding dang it, I woke up yesterday with lower back pain. This morning felt better, but after a day of driving and some light work, it is all stiff and feels sore. I havn't taken anything for it, but think I might right now. I hate the lower back pain because it shoots down to the back of my knees, an...
