well there seems to be a shortage of knowledge here atm lol. but yeah, my front suspension is absolute crap.i found some brand new 08 crf forks im thinkin of buying. the triple clamps come with a steering dampener too. was speaking to a guy at the ttrack the other day and he swapped his old 05 forks...

yeah was thinkin of doin a af conversion but my cr frame has been completely restored inc refreshed rear shock and all new linkages. took it out to murray bridge motocross track today and it failed massively in the front end. the rear seemed great so was thinkin of just a new front end. wondered if ...

what forks bolt on to cr500 01. wanted to get 08 triple clamps with 08 crf fromt end so i can have the steering dampener. any suggestions? money is no object. :wink:

wow, this thread kind of lost its way didnt it osama and $10 litres of fuel? i do like the idea of the ally cylinder. not sure about the price vs benefits factor though.maybe is it was a cheap change over option id do it.

you can place a washer inbetween to take up some slack (i did that on a xr once, think it will work on crs) and stetch your spring so it applies more preassure to the little bearing. that with a good dose of grease should help.... or you can just buy a new one (keep them greased)

59 &53 mm for my 01. you need to meassure different cr fork tubes and then match them with your clamp diameter. someone might of swapped/changed the upper clamp set from another bike. meassure other bike fork diameters to dee what matches k.
