They do have a universal kit, and you might check the parts fiche for the front rotor bolt between 94 and 95 to see if the part number changed. That is the only thing that might make it not work on your 94; TrailTech uses a rotor bolt with a magnet in it to activate the pickup that sends the speed ...

08 CRF250 frame/swingarm- titled

Anyone looking to do an AF build? I have a very good condition frame and swingarm from an 08 CRF250 I have no need for. The frame has one big ding in one frame rail but is otherwise very nice. Swingarm in great shape as well. I also have an OEM fuel tank I could throw in for the right offer. Frame i...

I am fricking determined to come up with a bolt-in setup that will supply at least 60 watts of power so that a guy can run some lights on a CR5! Unfortunately this may entail selling my other CR500 so I can replenish the piggy bank for the dual sport build I'm working on.

I chased this when I had a new billet set i could have used for dimensions. Guys like Phil Denton Engineering in the UK are making custom cr250 gear sets for their vintage bikes, His son Stevie figured they'd cost about 250$ per gear to make the 5 pieces in quantities of 10. They were not intereste...

Get the photobucket app on your phone, makes it pretty simple. Alternately you could email the photos to yourself from your phone then upload them to whatever photo hosting site you prefer from your PC

I would love to make this happen in 2014!!!

Say what you will; it works fine. Honestly, you're shortchanging yourself by not using the newer clamps. Sure, the twin chamber dampening is much better, but using the beefier clamps improves the handling tenfold. This should tell you the story, heres a set of clamps from a later model CRF and a '0...

Yes, the forks slid right into the stock CR500 triple clamps, I torqued them to whatever the manual said, and have 3 rides on them without issues. Definitely noticed a difference (better) with the twin chamber forks. Might be my stock forks need a little tuning. And that's the monkeys with hatchets...

Man the first time I rode it, it didn't seem that bad because we had a huge windstorm the day before I hit Sand Mountain...like I said this thing only rides in the sand, unless my real CR blows and then I pull this motor until my other is worked out. The second time I rode it was the day after a bi...

That's a nice looking bike rhino! If the shock is tolerable maybe I'll see about locating another set of 97+ forks and triples for this bike. I was going to try it with the stock forks like you did, but if you had that bad of an experience maybe I'll save myself the trouble. I need to get some wrenc...

If I'm not mistaken, there are 2 fees involved for keeping this site up and running? If a bunch of us pony up and keep it going, would that not work? No one really has ownership, per se, just keep the info up and available. I'm not around like I used to be, but there is some invaluable info on here...

Your stoked, I have one of those 1990 bikes as my sand scoot....the stock 1990 suspension sucks so I put on later model stuff but I like that color scheme...mine still has the white frame and title to match. I have 98 model suspension I picked up for my 91 that I might put on it. I also have 08 CRF...

My latest purchase

I picked this bike up a few weeks back https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/4100e4ef4221819b1974b95bebe33863.jpg It's a 90 model but somewhere along the way it ended up in a 98 frame so its titled as a 98. The PO bought it in pieces, rebuilt the motor, went thru the entire chassis and had the f...

The goal of any conversion is a clean job, and low vibrations. Kevin's jib is awesome to get the engine mounted correctly, but the job doesnt stop there..... Once you get the motor mounted, and all welding is done... do this. 1. Torque all bolts, including the headstay. 2. Remove one of the main 10...

I think Kuma nailed it, it's a super nice looking bike but getting your investment back out of a build like that is nearly impossible. I'd love to have it myself if I had the cash, but not at your original asking price.
