batts

I bought those before and they work pretty good to maintain the lighting on the street. Had one that size in my 650r as well as the steely tard. I found a guy selling backup house alarm batts that are sealed 1.2ah batts and are barely bigger. That one seems to hold up better when i'm stuck in traffi...

Bike's looking good man! Best to cut the kickstand shorter especially if you have a fair bit of sag. It'll be way too tipsy otherwise. He's got an obsolete E-line lighting coil that pumps out 200w that will do a good job of keeping those lit, especially if they're HID ones because they use less curr...

Another great piece of free information!

Gets actual work done, 5,000 bbm messages, 300 phone calls a day, and still manages to crank out these files!

Back when I was running 18/21 on my steely, I ran Avon Distanzia. Suprisingly decent on dirt roads and sticky on the street for the amount of life I got out of them. Was getting them greasy hot on the kart track though.

Once again the piston posts are back. I know a few different guys that have used em with good results. All things being equal, they make a good piston and i'm not sure why they're sold so cheap. I'm using em in my buddies cr250 that i'm building for him. Cylinder size and condition are what''s gonna...

Pillow top grips

Was just reading about grips. This spring I tried Pro Taper pillow top grips. I've got long fingers and always like a grip that's got a bit bigger diameter. These grips are cushy soft and hang on well especially when they're wet I found. They're so soft that they'll actually squirm a bit if you squu...

Looks like you work well under pressure. Sounds like some people I know, sneaking minutes of bike building in between actual work.

Looks top notch! Things like this you almost feel bad assembling and running, but that's what it's for. I'm sure the real beauty will come out when the slide opens. This stuff has been tested in his stomping grounds by himself and his crew and you all see his homework he's donated all over the forum...

Worst bike related injury? This is mine right now.

Internal Urethrotomy!!! Urethral stricture (restriction) from scar tissue building up. This is my second go at this. Mountain biking/dirtbikes did this to me and no dude is safe from it. Smashed it once hard when I was around 15, pissed blood for days. Eventually gets to the point you can barely pis...

V3

I like my V3 a lot. Fits my cabbage well and has good air flow. Was snug in a few spots but it broke in perfect after a few rides. I have 3 different ones for the dirt and the other one on my top list is a Troy Lee. I think it's a D2 or something. Never noticed it grabbing more air than the other di...

Sure it will if you're talking about a specific speed. Dial it best you can at 60. More importantly the bike should be ridden hard enough you'll never know the difference anyway. Everyone's got their own bikes, and they're all a bit different in some way, so when you do come up with your combo, post...

Nice build man! They just banned off road regi's happening here this year. I actually got a stunned cop give me a thumbs up on my steely doing this just a few weeks earlier. I start in 3rd though. Maybe with a twirp i'll be able to rid myself of pesky shifting once and for all. http://www.youtube.co...

I run 50:1 Amsoil Dominator in all my 500's and 250's. This includes a street legal supermoto, a bike I only run in the dunes and a woods 250. The biggest problem with all these posts is people not knowing how to jet an engine in the first place. 32:1, 40, 50 whatever. I've never had a top end seizu...

Rich/lean is completely different from what I meant, which is air velocity at low engine speeds. So having a richer mixture might keep it alive, but will never be as crisp. All depends on what you have to work with.

The BRP is easy to start when you know the drill. I've had a couple. The hardest part is having the energy to kick it after you've picked up the 300lb pig.
