That's an almost ridiculous assumption.
It's not a torque convert or or amplifier, it's a clutch that's not slipping. If anything the not slipping aspect which is eliminating the chatter from when it would slip is helping parts survive by reducing harmonics and spiking shock load.

You can use anything 1986-01 with your clutch parts, 86-87's need a output shaft bearing change at the sprocket.

This is a clutch case replicated from the 1985-86 model which was originally magnesium.

It's not a production run stator, all coils were virtical and these are horizontal.

I've been having excellent running durability on the Pro-X rod kits, I do advise to check the case clearance for the beam, I've seen some recent ones contact the case at the base of the rod.

I fabricate the conversion parts, they do insert to the lower rails.

It'll bolt on no problem, the exhaust flange bolt pattern is different so you'd almost need to have an 84 flange and weld a sleeve to it so its up to the OD of the later models unless you do a dedicated pipe.
Otherwise on an 85-86 engine its a direct fit.
