Roosty measured my end gap last summer at his shop when we were changing a couple of gears out in the trans. .050. That's right. 50 thou. Slammed it back together in June and rode it out to the end of the season. Fuck it, it's a Honda. It's bulletproof. Lol

Replace those pawls. I overlooked those once and it cost me 6 gears after replacing them only 20 hours earlier. Dropped a G note on the repair and in 20 hours, back in there again. Had "minor wear" on mine as well, but it was enough. $10 parts cost me $1000. Awesome.

Looks nice. I see the old headstay bolt holes for the 450 motor are empty. Did you run your new one back to the shock mount cross piece on the frame?

If youre only changing the minimum of pafts, change the gear to the right.of fhe one you have circled. The one the dogs engage. If ones bad, the other one is usually part of the problem.
