Hey if you are getting rid of those fork boots wanna sell them?
Unfortunately, the knobby ate the red fork boots up. Last owners did not have the front wheel aligned properly. :x

Motard wheels and tires are on

The Warp 9 wheels are works of art! They bolted on the bike with no trouble. Just gotta get used to snaking the front caliper on and off before I can remove the wheel. Not a whole lot of room between the giant rotor and the rim. I wanted to take more pics but it's so windy the bike wanted to blow of...

Got the decals on with the exception of the front number plate (still need to order a new one). The radiator shroud and swing arm decals went on with no trouble at all. They are much thicker than stock and seem to be of excellent quality. I got them from ebay seller "apache740". Great prod...

Here she is ready for the decal install. I've had all I can take from the incorrect red fork boots. Ordered the correct for 1986 blue boots today. Hope to have them by next weekend. I'm also going to order a new correct for 1986 reproduction seat cover. Found a place across the pond that makes them....

They don't make it for the '86, but they do make it for the '87. So I ordered the '87 kit and eliminated the mid pipe. Done deal.

Nothing says BAD-ASS like the '85, '86 and '87 expansion chamber! The FMF exhaust fit better than expected. No clearance issues anywhere. Sorry for the crappy indoors pics lately but it's dark by the time I'm done working on the bike. Better outdoor pics hopefully this weekend. http://a2.sphotos.ak....

Pretty much all painted and going back together. Still need to paint some odds and ends, but the major items are done. This is about as far as I can go until more parts arrive. Can't install the airbox and subframe until my new reed cage gets here. Gotta get the correct blue fork covers, etc. It's g...

Since I have a dirt-only CR5 and a dual sport bike, I decided to go supermoto with my plated '97. I ordered Contiforce SM tires and Warp 9 motard wheels from Motostrano last week.

Rear wheel bearings are now squared away. New locking ring and bearings installed. Another box-o-goodies arrived for the '86. New fenders, radiator shrouds and side covers from Maier Plastics. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/hs047.snc6/167757_1734297769842_1610490085_1720170_7468458_n.jpg

Managed to install my remanufactured front caliper tonight and bleed the brakes. The new caliper works beautifully. I also popped the right side cover off to take a peek at the kick starter assembly. Everything looked fine. No broken or overly worn teeth. So, I tweaked the spring a bit and put every...

Thought about it but decided to go with the original look. Painting air to air intercoolers in my experience doesn't interfere with their efficiency so I don't think 1 or 1.5mils of non-catalyzed paint will hurt these rads much especially considering they make a much better heatsinks than do air to ...

Does anyone have the threaded retainer ring that holds the wheel bearing in the rear wheel? Mine had to be removed in pieces. Tried to buy it through Service Honda but they said it was discontinued. :x
