O.K here is my year end wrap up. Timbersleds are awesome and super fun, kind of like riding sand dunes in the woods hanging off the side of a cliff in the middle of nowhere. The terrain goes forever and you can get to places others will never see in minutes. Reliability is obviously paramount!! Thi...

its their change in hosting, they want to charge to share image links now Yes, but if you install the fix in your browser, the photos will display and you don't have to pay the bastards. It took all of 30 seconds for the patch to install on my computer and now I can see photobucket photos again :co...

I am not monitoring coolant temps, mine has run perfect every time. If I was on anything else I wouldn't be going where I can go o this. The guys I ride with are half my weight on new KTM 450's with 129 Yeti kits. So they are lighter than me with longer tracks and they can out climb me but my set u...

I am running a carb heater built by the dude M5 on the snowest forum, it is similar to an avid but he builds it round so its not a big bulbous square thing. It originally hit in the electric start motor bolts pretty hard but I ended up running one of Roosty's VF2 cages that has a spacer built into ...

So rhino, now that you've had a chance to ride the thing a few times, what's your take? Any issues with carb ice (I didn't notice if you were running a carb heater)? Any issues keeping the big girl warm? I'm kind of toying with doing what you did and setting one of my 500's up as a dedicated snow bi...

Re: Wanted '91 steelie frame
I have one I might let go of, needs a few minor repairs- one broken tank mount, stripped threads in the silencer mounts. I'm in NE WA state.Fastriverrat wrote:Looking for a '91 steelie frame for sale, With title.

Re: I rode the Timbersled
O.K. so I got everything all together and took it for its maiden voyage. I will try to post the video of the first 20 seconds of me on a snowbike later. My initial thoughts were find a meadow and get used to the thing and shake out any bugs. Well we don't have a lot of snow right now under 8000' so...

It should be a mean machine when you get it all set up! I don't think you'll regret going with the RAW as far as track length, I ride with a few guys who used to ride LT's and switched to the ST and have no complaints. I'm not sure if the shocks on the RAW are any different than what's on my 15 ST b...

98 CR500, very good condition
Begrudgingly selling my 98 CR500. When I bought the bike it was non-running and someone had put all 1990 components on a 1998 frame. I spent some time and got it running and updated it to 91-01 cosmetics and running gear: 91-01 seat, subframe, airbox and silencer 98 front forks 98 front brake system...

Yeah I've seen them, but the almost 5k price tag scares me away from trying it. 5k is probably more than this damn KX is worth...Rhino89523 wrote:Those snow bikes look fun as hell...especially if you put the turbo kit on there, have you seen the videos for the turbo kit from Boondocker...looks so fun.

Re: Bored, bored, bored
Facebook sucks. Political discourse bores me and makes me lose faith in humanity. I've even joined a bunch of "Riders" groups and all they truly are is bike gawkers and pissant politically correct retards that get offended at EVERYTHING. They don't even fawkin ride or talk about riding. T...

CR500 rear suspension/linkage info
In the process of trying to correct the suspension geometry on my 98 CR500 I learned a few things I didn't know so I thought I'd share. This bike is a bit of a mutt, the main frame is a 1998 but the rest of the bike was 1990 parts, only the main frame had been swapped (for what reason I don't know)....

I have a spare bedroom with separate bathroom so it's like a free hotel room. I have an xr650r that I don't mind riding at all so that means guys who know how to ride 500's or 650's I have a spare bike. I try to ride every weekend....this picture is just the behind the house stuff. I ride the 650R ...
