there's a 03 cr250 frame on ebay, about $460 including shipped to australia. You will be hard pressed to find a rolling chassis.. If you purchased the parts seperatly it will cost a small fortune... I think the cheapest way to do it is purchase an 02-07 cr125, purchase a 250 frame from the states, e...

hey roostius, whats with that bend in the Y in the frame at the back ? is that after the bending? also looks like you cut the hole in the underside of they Y before bending ? does that make it a bit less stressful to bend ?

Re: new frames

Has anyone purchased a brand new frame for their conversion, looking at the prices they will be around $500-600 more than a used one on ebay.. Money difference aside, does anyone know if new frames come with a VIN number? it may sound silly, i'm thinking of giving up on the gen 3 125 conversion, i ...

i havnt done one myself but studied plenty of builds, Gen 1 250 seems alright. But i'd go out on a limb and say gen 3 250 would be easier of the two. And end up a better bike....

I guess it depends which way you tackle it, Paul Stoffers looks to have the method nailed perfectly on the gen 3
