Okay so I FINALLY got back out on my bike. First ride with -2003 CR250 ignition - 38mm PWK airstriker carb -Tubliss front and rear -New OEM reeds So basically I had a lot going on and had messed with many things. The biggest change I would say I noticed was the low rpm capability of the ignition sys...

I'll have to pick up a maxxis desert IT then to try, i used a well worn one and was surprised at how well it still hooked up despite the wear. only rode on it for two short rides though. I find brand new sharp tires to be a little unpredictable sometimes, especially on grass... and i probably run my...

That's the kind of real world info I was looking for... I've been running tire balls set at 6psi, which has been a pretty unstoppable system... But it is very time consuming to change tires or to check pressures involves taking the tire off and using a needle valve to set 75 balls one by one. Good n...

Tubliss - Tips and Tricks

Hey, I'm just about to try out my first set of Tubliss inserts and i know some people have had a lot of experience and swear by these now... I've also been told to stay away, that they are unreliable and shouldn't be trusted. I've got them mounted on the rims with no problem, installed my first set ...

Thanks for taking this whole project on Andy, it's been a big headache for ya, but I can be patient and when it all works out Im happy. No one else has carried through with the obvious different headaches that are included in a deal like this. Andy wasn't the designer, machinest, or even trying to m...

Toyota has two different coolants, long life and "super" long life. The super long life is premixed, and I would say is a cause of a lot of water pump leakage on cars. It is supposedly normal for it to weep past the seal, but the dried crystalized pink stains in my opinion are not normal, ...

Thats why I like the WER dampers, set and forget.

Although cutting the number plate/headlight is a pain in the ass i like how out of the way the mount is and I'm not the type to constantly adjust my damper.

I just started using the lexx packing from rockymountainatv which is CHEAP $5.99 a package!!! One package will do a cr500 Fmf Q silencer with leftover, it seems to quiet really well and lasted a season of trail riding without blow out. And at $5.99 a package it's cheap enought that you could do it m...

No dicking it up yet!!

Looks great,

I think a lot of gen1 builds use a single side headstay, or use a "thin doubled plate" style (oe style) made with 1/8" steel and low profile Allen head bolts and thin nuts to reduce the room needed.

Hell of a "y" piece there! Looks good  Hmm, not so sure and I think Sean knows it is definetly an "old school" conversion style. He was trying to copy a previous service Honda of his, and I think it was lost in the details. However, I will give him kudos for showing pictur...

Yes yes and yes! I went from a 94 and 95 steelies, and the 95 was nicely put together with suspension and everything (not fancy Ohlins or anything, just had maintained shock and fork with eibach springs front and back). I built a pair of 2003 CR250 chassis's The difference is incredible, it handles ...

I've got the carbon fibre Leatt, and it's great, just needed to adjust the rear helmet catch lower as I couldnt "sight" downhills. Other than that it's almost unnoticeable when riding.

Ive got two for gen3s bought a year apart. The later one has a metal back instead of plastic and has more lightening done to the leg of it.

I like that they seem to be continually improving their product.
