Also, if you use the "direct link" URL and the "Img" button in the toolbar, the images will come through. Don't use the "IMG" link on PB. I've used this on several sites with no problems.

Picked up a 2017 about 3 weeks ago. So far, it's a blast. Only problem is you have to add so much to them. Even though is has the mounts, Honda sells the center stand separately. I figure I'll have another $2k into it before it's got what it really needs over what you get. One other downside are the...

2001 Honda CR500R SOLD

SOLD Probably the cleanest, best running stock '01 CR500's out there. I bought this bike new from Stubbs in either '03 or '04. Never been raced - put my old number on it from my racing days for sentimental reasons. I have a clear, blue title for it. $3000 Comes with: New OEM piston, rings, and beari...

2002 CR500AFC for sale - SOLD

Thinning the heard and selling one of my favorite bikes. I've owned this bike for years and it's brought me plenty of enjoyment. I rebuilt it from the ground up in 2013 just before I had to get surgery on both legs followed by a broken wrist that kept me off riding MX for the last 4 years. It's clea...

Howdy Terry! I'm over in League City (between Houston and Galveston). 55 also and used to race late '80s & early '90s. Currently have (5) CR500s, but maybe trading in 2 for an African Twin and selling the '84 outright.

1984 CR500 carb?

I've got a 1984 air cooled CR500 I'm trying to get ready to sell and I noticed it has a Mikuni carb on it. I'm trying to confirm if it is the stock carb or if the previous owner put this Mikuni on it. Does anyone know what came stock on these bikes?

What part of Houston? I live down in League City. Currently have 5 CR500s, one being a 2002 CRF450R framed 2001 CR500 motor. Waiting on a frame that I had modified for another conversion (2008 CRF450R).

'89 CR500 For Sale

Just northeast of Houston $1800. I'd buy it if I had more room. Looks to be in good shape from the pictures - can't tell about the mechanicals.

The 96+ CR5 should be the same diameter fork tube as the CR250 twin chamber forks so it's a bolt up and go mod. No prying the triple clamps open to make them fit or using beer cans for "shims" like some people will do. The trouble is you also need the wheel with spacers, axle, and caliper...

Yeah, essentially did the same thing with a 12 ton press and it won't move. Found another bolt and should have it next week.

'87 CR500R Swing arm shaft

Looking for a usable '87 CR500 swing arm shaft/bolt (whatever you want to call it). I'm going to have to cut out the one in my bike. Have tried penetrating oil, heat, 12 ton press, hammering - it's moved 1/8 of an inch and will go no further or back. Tried responding to 87CR500Rider's ad for his par...

Got the rack from Cycleracks.com: https://cycleracks.com/ProductDetail/tabid/87/ProductID/1/Default.aspx I was a little leery of it at first, thinking the parts that arc down the sides would be in the way. But, they are no problem and make a great handle for moving the bike around or picking it up. ...

I just bought another set of wheels off of eBay. Of course, when I got them, the clown who had them before spray painted them (don't know why) and they had something blue on the outer edges of the rims. Got both complete wheels with usable disk rotors for $300. And, yeah, I did the FCR carb change a...

Yes, the forks slid right into the stock CR500 triple clamps, I torqued them to whatever the manual said, and have 3 rides on them without issues. Definitely noticed a difference (better) with the twin chamber forks. Might be my stock forks need a little tuning.

The only thing that may be an issue is the caliper mount. In my case, they were the same, but I don't know if the previous owner changed the one on the CR 250 fork.

I'm pretty sure it will fit. I've got two 2001 CR500s; one I bought new off of the showroom floor and a used one. I was told the forks on the used bike were from a 2003 CR250. The one I bought new was run over by another bike (long story), severely denting the upper fork tube right where the seal go...

The thought process was to use a CRF-X airbox for the ease of filter service. I've got a 2008 CRF-R frame being modified and was thinking about using a X airbox, but didn't know if it would be possible to stick an X air box in a R subframe without modification.

Don't know if any of you have actually watched that RT station, but you'd be hard pressed to find another channel that does nothing but attack US capitalism with sensationalistic stories - most of which can easily be debunked. They make Al Jezzera (sp?) look like it's wrapped in red, white, and blue.
