Hey, I held strong and kept the 500 away from the Mrs grasp. Didnt have to sell it in the long run. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody has made some air box adapters. Mine is a bit of a rush job and I want to replace it. If anybody has some or is going to make some for crf450 Gen III Please let me ...

Finally took the big girl out for a spin at the local motocross track. Bike went really well, i didnt really open it up but I could tell that I could ride the bike alot quicker with a bit of practice. The engine didnt really scare me even with my gearing. Really useable power, all the way around. I ...

scooters dead right. Get a brand new engine from s/h and we can give you a hand finding the right bike and people to help convert it. im no welder, but if i was to do it again i wouldnt buy a rolling frame from MPS but buy a near new bike, and manage the build, outsourcing when i needed to. You can ...

Mate for about 6k i made a Gen III 500. Thats with paying too much for the rolling chassis from MPS in the states (should have just done it myself but didnt have the time). Buy a 500, sell the frame (i got over 2K just for the rolling frame) then keep an eye out for a crfx450. If you really want one ...

Scooter,
seems to be the problem with MPS. It could have been a fantastic build but nothing lined up properly. Had to cut and relocate or grind alot of the brackets. Still havnt taken it for a spin yet. Hopefully it will be ok.

Just finished re-lacing the wheels. I had the rims anodised and the hubs powdercoated. Wasnt that hard to re-lace either. Just took my time and everything lined up. Took a while to get it to run true.
Exhaust system in place now, but had to re-weld some brackets as typically for my MPS frame, they ...

Just put some time in on the bike in the shed. Took some time to locate a die grinder. One of the welds was stopping the motor from sitting in properly. Once I shaved the weld ever so slightly the motor sat in nicely.
Heres some picks with more to follow. BTW where are all the old ADB website guys ...

Turbine II sounds like the option of choice for those who know!! I reckon Ill get one. Will there be any trouble with it getting the noise below 96-94 DB with it?? The noise police are getting picky on some tracks in australia and Im pretty keen on keeping the bike as quiet as possible.

Im pretty keen to get a standard pipe, being in australia I think it will be easier for me in the long run to stay with the non service honda pipe. Im pretty keen on having the quietest muffler available. Pretty sick of these bastard loud four bangers, i want to prove that you can have style, power ...

Pipe and Muffler of choice??

Just wondering if there is a pipe and muffler combo of choice for a CR250 gen 3 conversion or if they are much the same as each other in regards to fit. I was just thinking if some mufflers fit better than others. I want to keep noise down as much as possible so I was leaning towards an FMF 'Q ...
