At least I got the other half of the center case transmission stacked and loaded up.

I was getting ready to install the center case bearings but this stopped me in my tracks a crack but it can be fixed.

Repainted the Hubs

I built this skid plate for a friend a couple years ago he sold his 480 and gave it back so I was fitting it on to mu 480 I going to change the rear skid plate mounting.

Found a good 480 Crank but I might swap out the one side my old half looks better than the new one.

It is starting to look like a bike once again I had to put the wheels on the frame it need some weight to it so it stop falling off the stand I will rebuild rims and repaint the hubs when I fine the time one of theses days.

Anyone out there know where I can get rear shock rebuild parts for a 1983 CR480 rear shock seal ect.

And what shims I should use in the rear shock for the valve stack.

I am redoing my CR480 I have the stock ignition but I was wondering if I could put one out of 1983 CR250.

By looking on Ebay they look like it will work but not sure if they will.

And if will fit can I use the ignition box off a 1986 or newer CR250.

I never run the 480 still in work but just ...

On hold for a little while the Family SUV took a crap so my money went into it.

But I put the forks back together.

With any luck I will be able to put more money into the 480 Next pay day.

Dug into my bag of tricks today Bored and counter bored the lower fork tubes so the Internals of 1987 CR500 fork will fit inside my 1983 tubes.

The one on the Left is off 1987 the one on the right is off my CR480.

Ended up using VHT GM RED ORANGE for the frame and VHT Saint Black and yes baked the paint on.

Painted the Cases and Frame.

I getting ready to paint the frame of my 1983 CR480.
I know the color is Honda Flash Red.
I ready others say GM Red Orange Engine paint is very close to the Flash red.
Has anyone has pictures of both to compare them to side by side.

Had the cases welded up the welder told me don't grind both sides of the welds flat it be weak in this areas so I leave the bulges there.

I picked up a project 1983 CR480.

First question will a Ignition system from a 1997 CR250 fit in to the 480 cases and work.

I know the Ignition on the right hand side so it will be spinning backwards.

Is there anyone make a Mid to Top end pipe for this bike.

And anyone knows where to get new ...

I cant aford to pay someone to take her away but thanks for the input.
