I have shipped a few bikes. if you go international, see if you can get a crate for a new 450 or 250 from ride now or carter, I got one to ship on of mine and it worked great.

That price is high, dude. I sold a very similar bike, also '03 cr250, very clean, late motor, all rebuilt, only I did the Bailey kit instead of black and red and I sold that bike for $4500 like 4 years ago.

If you get either the KX or YZ, absolutely invest in a stabilizer. I found a kick ass local guy who welded up my Gen-3 for $100 after I did all the fab work and used my crappy harbor freight welder to tack it. Find a local guy to do the welding for you and you will be totally happy to pay for it.

you need to find one to ride before pulling the trigger. I love mine, but other 500 riders have hopped on one and yawned at the lack of tire shredding, roost producing, low rpm torque.

I know I might be biased, but if you do decide to make the move, I would pick the KX over the YZ. I have a friend with the new YZ and the power delivery sucks, its is hard to ride and I don't like the handling. the only downside to the KX is turning... it turns well fast, but if taking it slow it ...

no. the swingarm bolt is smaller, the waterhose/pipe situation could be an issue and the rear brake lever will hit the clutch cover.

so I got myself a gopro hero3 black this weekend and put a mount on the front airdam. Took it for a quick test and realized that I need a stiffer mount and to run the open cover for sound. it is very muffled with the sealed case.

So, a little update... I replaced the clutch and rear diff cover, poly diff bushings and changed out all of the fluids. Basically a once over and have been driving it for a week.
