there are 2 seals, each on one side of the weep hole. One is for coolant and one for oil. I had a bike where a previous owner plugged the weep hole, instead of fixing it right, so coolant blew past both seals and mixed with the oil. You will atleast need the seal and possibly the shaft and oil seal...

the 86-88 cr250 cdi used the same flywheel and stator as the '86 cr500. If you bike is not an '86, to get the same year range you'll need the flywheel and stator as well as the cdi.

I had an '87 cr250 ignition on an '86 motor and it was insane. the newer ones are much tamer.
The day after I added the cdi I took the bike out to armagosa and looped it out while launching up the hill. There are pics aomehere of me riding the rest of the day with no rear fender

I spent a rediculous amount of time researching porting a cr500 and had very long detailed conversasions with experts on the tipic and utililzed photos of the well known porting work and when I was finished I wished I hadn't touched it. The powerjet Mikuni 41mm TM and more importantly cr250 CDI gave...

I personally like to stick with the big 4 mostly because of parts and cost of ownership. I have a friend who bought a husqvarna 450 about 2 years ago and loves it and I know plenty of KTM riders who love their bikes, but the local shops stock 90% of the parts and accessories I need for my bike at an...

I started shit with some qwad-tards at dumont one time for basically the same reason. Its funny because it was me with MFDB following behind and like 5 of them. Of coarse it helps when your hommie is usually packing  they called me an asshole and left.

On my old gen-3 I built it with the piston it came with and just re-ringed it since it was very low hour. It had I believe the 3rd piston from the left and rode like a dream. I was having some major tuning issues and started to suspect a compression issue so I decided to just have it bored and dropp...
