The original piston and rings. Now I don't know WTF to do. Donor bike? Buy new cases? Is the crank and rod bad? bearing bad? I never split the cases on a 2 stroke. Maybe have someone else with more experience deal with the project. Who to send it to? Roosty? Eric Gorr? Right now I'm just bummed out.

Do spark arrestors kill performance?

In general is there a loss in power using a spark arrestor equipped silencer versus a non spark arrestor silencer?

If so, how much of a loss in power?

Now running a 165 main. At 3/4 to full throttle the exhaust tone goes flat and the motor feel flat. If I back off the throttle below 3/4 the exhaust tone becomes a higher pitch like the engine is more alive and the engine feels like it is making more power. As a side note, I notice when I stop ridin...

PJ Carb Air screw o ring?

As usual I am confused. I have a 2001 Five Hundred. I just soaked the factory PJ carb in Berryman cleaner, used compressed air blowing the shit out of the carb, followed by B12 carb cleaner spray and more compressed air. My question is; some people reference an o ring on the air screw. I did not fin...
