The guy want's $30.00 for it, so I should give it a try. The sticker is going to come off for sure. It looks like the OEM one is about six inches longer.

Anyone Ever Use This Silencer?

Is it going to be as loud as my FMF Turbinecore? I would like a quiet OEM one, but it might be difficult to buy a nice used one.

so is it plulsing when you are stopped and flash the throttle? does it come down off its max rpm with 3-4 clear fires before reaching idle, or come down with 10 or more half-hearted drawn out attempts to catch its rpm? I would say 3-4 clear fires but I'm going to ride it and double check. I know it...

I just got back from a ride. I was on some quad trails and in the gravel pits. The last thing I need is more power, it's way too much bike for me, but it's a lot of fun. I'm still trying to dial in the jetting. The only problem is when I let off the throttle and glide, the bike still fires about onc...

I have a few hours on it now, just driving up and down my road. I thought it would be more powerful, maybe when I actually take it off road that will change. I rode my friend's stock CRF450, and the 500 feels tame compared to it. We might go for a real ride on Sunday but there still may be snow on t...

I got it centered with the spokes. I loosened one side, and tightened the other. I did this a couple of times and it didn't seem like it was moving but all of a sudden it went too much. Now I have to true it again but I need the practice anyway.

I was thinking that could be the problem also but the Excel Pro Series come laced from the factory. It still is possible.

Isn't 3.5mm a lot to move a wheel with just the spokes? The right and left spokes seem to be threaded in the same amount.

What did you guys do here? My Excel Pro Series is also off center, it's 7mm closer to the right fork. If I machine the left spacer a little narrower, the rotor bolts might rub on the fork guard bolt. I am going to have to get low profile fasteners, like button heads. https://bannedcr500riders.com/im...

Anyone from New Zealand use TradeMe.Co.nz?

I am interested in a spring from this ad, but you have to be registered to use it. Is it possible to get the seller's email?

Problem sort of solved. The Gen III mounting bracket was the same from 2002-2003. In 2004 they used a different style bracket but used the same caliper. I have a 2004. In some diagrams they list both styles of brackets.

I have a headache from looking through parts diagrams.

I just did some research and Gen II and III use the same caliper. Gen 1 and newer CR500's seem to use the same caliper. If someone could get me the 500 bolt spacing, it would be appreciated.

Gen I and II Front Caliper Bolt Spacing

Does anyone know the distance between the front caliper bolt holes on a Gen I and Gen II? I am putting some Ohlins forks on my Gen III and the caliper doesn't fit the forks. I need a caliper that has a 104mm bolt spacing.

It would be a lot cheaper to pick one up yourself in the US. I brought mine back without a motor as parts. I didn't have to pay the RIV fee that way. Some border crossings won't make you go through the RIV and some will.

What year are you looking for?
