Sometimes I downshift without a clutch, but isn't it hard on gears to upshift while pinned without a clutch? The springs are heavy in the CF clutch Glenn put in...

Number one rule when dealing with electrical gremlins, check your connections. Pull them apart, scuff them up with emery cloth and reassemble. Sounds like a ground issue to me, that will commonly cause intermittent faults. Pull the coil off the frame and sand it shiny on both sides. Check the insula...

Usually those are signs of too much timing advance, although the flat power feeling is spot on ...

I read somewhere you have to advance the 2000 cr250 ignition to get it to run, this chart confirms that. What's really interesting is that the 500 falls in between the 250 and 125. It would be cool to superimpose these over a dyno to see which lays down better hp. You can also see the digital 250 pi...

Well, I shipped my entire motor off to Glenn for new crank bearings, bottom end seals, the new race port, and to bore my carb. It was a tough decision choosing the right shop, but after talking to Glenn I feel confident he will do a great job. There are just some things in life you can't learn from ...

I was going to go with Wossner but they don't have any rings yet. They make a 84-89 model year piston which is basically the same as the 90-01, it's forged, it has anti scuff coating on the skirt and are real nice pistons. Unfortunately LA Sleeve is the dist for the country so the price will be hig...
