fuk yeah.... how cool would an air cooled 480 or early 500 engine in a gen3 or gen4 frame be??? Add the one industries bailey kit for the full retro look.. :cool:

Butt welds? There is a press fit 3 inch long plug in the frame and the new cradle pieces and then they are welded along with rosettes as well. No one would butt weld a frame I think but, then again no one else heat treats their frames as far as I know. Yeah i can see you have plugs in there, im not...

Made some good progress this weekend. finished building the engine and got it bolted up in the frame. im waiting for a few more parts to arrive and its ride time . Hey Judd,

Cradle tubes came out sweet, looks like theres minimal distortion in the bend.
That frame should look totaly stock when done with no joins in the cradle at all.

Is that one of my tubes pictured in the bender?? :cool:

Thanks for the comments guys.

Those rads were a pain in the ass to weld. I had to run the tig torch over the joints a couple of times to burn out all the impuritys before adding any filler material.. Was worth the effort though to get the y up a little higher
