I'm pretty sure the clutch cable for a '02-'07 CR 250 is about 1.5 inches longer. I have the same problem and was going to order one and see if 1.5 inches is enough. I'll let you know the outcome.

Along the same lines>>> I've been experimenting to see how long I could run the cast piston in my '98. I did a top end job in 2001 (its first) and that was just a deglaze and a new stock piston. Every year in the spring I pull the reed cage and check for cracks>> Finally got one this year so I rebui...

I don't want free shipping >>I want to pay a reasonable amount. Both Fedex and Ups can send a package containing the parts I ordered from Illinois to Florida for 40-45 dollars or less (i'm being generous on the weight and size) in 3 days. I'm just not sure why I'm paying $110.00 (whats the extra $65...

Service Honda heads up

Hey guys I thought I had better give you all a heads up regarding ordering parts from Service Honda. Yesterday I ordered some parts from Service Honda and while processing the bill the shipping price came up as $110.00 - this seemed pretty high but I figured it was just a website estimate based on w...

I tried the all balls rear wheel bearing kit >>> personally I thought it was crap >>> the bearings seemed too "made in china" for me and the seals lasted 2 rides >>> the seal lips tore off both sides road rashing (no mud). Sorry but I give these the thumbs down (you asked)

Conversion

To convert kilograms to pounds multiply the weight in kilograms by 2.2

Therefore 9.8 kg = (x2.2) 21.6 lbs

Just different

I just got the AF last fall using the same motor I've been running since 2000 (original crank/bearings steahly weight (7oz)). The AF is a lot different than the steelie. Quite a bit less vibes at idle and quarter throttle-ish. When you do fast fireroading mostly 4th 5th gear stuff I think the AF vib...

hmmmm

I'm kinda a skeptic myself. The studs thread into cast aluminum with a sleeve of steel pressed into it. They only go into the cast alum an inch or so. The steel sleeve continues uninterrupted out the bottom at which there are four studs applying more pressure (higher torque) in a different pattern f...

You need to use a 1368 needle and I think its a Honda only part you can use an old one from a CR (PJ fits PWK)
175 main pilot depends on how you drive (slow stuff go 45-48)
normal 52 is ok.

It would be my luck

10 bucks says I'd slip installing the tire and put 2 or 3 big ass scratches is the sides of those black babies. Still, I gotta say anodized machined hubs are definitely chubb material (I'd prefer red w/gold).

And you call yourselves 500 riders?

I'm painfully average in riding skill -- short 5'6" 175 pounds and very few people can get near me in the woods on a good day --> that includes my buddy on a 300 KTM. My secret --> its the bike. The trick to going fast in the woods is to ride a gear high. That way you smooth out the extra power...

MSR starting to suck

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up in regards to MSR rad guards. I had originally purchased a set for my 98 cr 500 --> the installation went ok and they fit just fine . I'm just about ready to get my AF on the road and thought I would buy a set for the "new" bike based on my previous ...
