That's a good way to have base gasket leaks. :?

Copper cote spray

Never had a base leak.
On a paper gasket? There's absolutely no need for any sort of treatment to a paper gasket, if you torque the parts properly...

Sounds fair...

Ok here is my conclusive evidence:

32:1 = too much! Just curious, but did you even read all of what I wrote? If so, then I think you missed the point. The premise of the article is that ratios aren't one-size-fits-all. 32:1 is too much for you , on your bike , for your riding ...

Sounds to me like the letter was written by a salesman, not a tuner.

He claims that many stock components in the engine are retained. I would be truly surprised if even a handful of stock parts could handle 100 ft/lbs of torque. I doubt that the engine cases are up to the task, and I'd bet that 100 ...

ou812, not to dis you or anything, but I was a refrigeration engineer for 18 years. Most refrigerant oils are approximately 80% castor and 20% blending agent. Even in a high-temperature application (a walk-in cooler for example) The oil inside the system will be exposed to temperatures as low as 70 ...

32:1 is alot of oil for a 500. Period. Woods, MX, Desert or Dunes, I don't give a rats ass. I'll agree with you on that. 500s generally can get away with less oil than other wo-strokes because they have such a low rev ceiling. A 500 doesn't rev much beyond 7000 rpm, and few riders ever keep them ...

Thank you spanky, I was reading this last night. But...I thought you would provide supporting documentation to your claims.

Quoted from Maxima,

"A single piston 500cc 2-cycle engine used in a motocross application will lubricate just fine and provide optimum power with a 50:1 oil ratio, because ...

Every thing he just said is Bull Shit. If I put in too much oil my bike will spooge!!!!!!! Then you have a jetting problem. The amount of oil in your mix has nothing to do with spooge.

Someone asked for supporting data. How's this?
