Yeah thats the fix. I cobbed mine for a quick test fix, but will have to get new hose and a metal hose-hose connector. Just something about trusting a plastic 90 that doesn't sit well with my original setup. Gotta pipe and some other motor goodies comin. Still deceiding on a SM or AF convert for a ...

noticed on another site ya got an 87 motor on one of your converts. Looks good!!! I love that motor vs most other cr's I've ridden. What did you use for your coolant line or did you do the same type of thing I did. thanks

Well here is what I came up with for a "test" fix. I reversed the old hose, cut off the bad end, and used a 90 3/4 fitting.

87' cr500 motor with 01' case cover

Just put my 87' motor back together with a new 01' case cover and new water pump stuff. The only problem now is the coolant line from the cylinder to the pump. Has anyone found a stock coolant line with similair bends?? The oem is to short on the 87', and the pipe is super tight to the motor. I ...
