Danny, what kind of truck do you have? Its gotta be boosted or just raw as fawk to ne that fast... My buddy has a BUILT 24v cummins that almost ran with my 240 Z 0-90. I killed him on the launch but he kept creepin until about 70 when wind resistance took its toll.

Brit, you need more negative camber. With proper alignment a car wont oversteer or understeer until you make it happen with gas or brakes. It should slide neutrally. You probably dont have enough toe in also. Just because its "within specification" doesnt make it a proper alignment. Look a...

I wish I could afford the challenger! They probably wont last though... The 350Z was designed for the engine to last 200,000 miles. My 240Z got ~410,000 miles on the og engine. Im leaning towards the Nissans for mileage and reliability, but the Corvette or GTO would be nice for the extra straight li...

How is the head room and leg room in the C6? I hear the C5 is a bit more spacious (and cheaper).

Good suggestion but the new mustang is too heavy and bulky looking. Okay, those are half excuses. I like the precision handling capabilities of all the Nissans Ive owned and the 'stangs are a bit out of my pricerange. I like import reliability.

I might consider a GTO but I dont know how they handle.

Masterdebate: Cars. M5, 350Z, 370Z, or STI?

My price cap is about 25,000. Im looking for a newer car, it needs to average atleast 18mpg, run a 13.4 or better 1/4 mile, have a manual transmission, and be reliable. Id like a 2005 or 2007 STI, but for the same price I can get a low mileage 370Z. In the lower price bracket I could get a 350Z (but...

Sounds like fun, good for you. Like to give that Z a run on my Harley  Are you in the 13's? My shit beats stock STIs and EVOs. I say shit because, yeah, it looks like shit; but it runs like a bat outta hell. -BOB! I work too much and chase tail whenever I'm not working. I'll try to get pics o...

First real ride on the '87! Carnegie, CA 10/2/11

I went out to Carnegie last Sunday to spectate the hillclimbs and ride. I watched about ten minutes of hillclimbs including Brad Killgores 14.1 second winning run. I put in about seven hours of solid trail riding and my bike worked great after I dialed in the suspension. I had the second oldest bike...

Fck it. The bike is sitting in pieces until I get my OTHER ignition problem fixed. Ever since swapping in my GM AIDS (HEI) module, my 240Z runs on four cylinders below 7000rpm

I got some readings, the kill switch is functioning properly, but I forgot to check for a short to ground :x The little black sensor (forgot the name, sorry.) has 124 ohms read between green/white and blue/yellow wires; on the ignition box side of the of these wires I read an open curcuit. I read 23...

Ignition diagnostic help! Electrical resistance specs needed

I have a 1987 CR500, I thought I fried it from running a bit lean, turns out it has 145PSI compression which should be enough to run. It actually has no spark. The bike would go from running great when warm, to cutting out when it got hot. Now it doesn't even spark when its cold. I need the resistan...

1987 CR500 suspension refreshing

My 87 CR500 is all stock, all original. The fork seals are starting to seep and it rides a bit low in the stroke (probably due to low oil volume). The forks are super soft, maybe a bit too soft. I'm getting within 4 inches of bottoming out just from hauling ass on smooth dirt hills... The rear seems...

I've got work through Saturday and won't have time to register the bike for a couple weeks due to my work schedule. I just picked up a 130/80-18 M5B today.

MX500 back in the saddle again after a four year hiatus.

Hey guys, I doubt most of you remember me, My name is Daniel. I was on the old CR500riders website around the time it went to shit then I sold my bike in 2007. I just yesterday bought an all original 1987 CR500 for $800. It runs well but should be rejetted for optimum power. It's a good start though...

I checked out an 86 KDX 200 today, $450, it has a recently re-sleeved cylinder and it has CA PLATES :D I left a deposit and I'm picking it up on monday morning. This might just be the first CR500 conversion that goes into a downgraded frame... I was thinking an 84 CR500 engine might work since the b...

Thats about what I was thinking... After Riding the CR500 I don't think I would be satisfied with a 600. I too like to go big or go home, I bought my CR500 and it was the first time in my life I have been satisfied with the performance of a stock vehicle.

Totalled car, replace with Streetbike or Dual Sport KTM?

I hit a 7 foot long steel pipe on the freeway this morning on my way to an unsuccessful job interview. In short, my car is totalled (It's only worth ~$1500). I didn't like this MR2 very much anyways, it's slower at 6,000 RPMs than my 240SX was at 2500. It only gets 25 MPG (same as my 240SX), and doe...
