Pirelli MX tires for sale.
I pulled the pirelli tires off my 480 today. The rear tire has only about a 1/2 hr's ride time on it. It's really gravely here, the front edges of the knobs are slightly worn. The front tire is perfect with titties. Minimal scarring from landing wheelies. 80-100 21 scorpion 120-100 18 MT32 rear $100...

Just like Danny said, I can feel the stretch when things get tight. My moosh-brain friends are the ones that are always stripping and twisting shit off. What I like the most is having to remove all the philips headed bolts on a clutch/stator cover. The ones where every head is stripped out. They sho...

All of my parts come from D&R.
Select crankshaft in the drop-down box.
I get a discount, so my cost would be less than the $132 pricing.

I remember seeing a snap shot of Bailey's bike in MXA in the '80s. I forget the year and the race, but they showed a stack of gaskets under his cylinder. Supposedly to cut down on wheel spin to create more drive. Never did give the results though. Less wheel spin from a 500....is that even possible?...

I like the idea of Roost'Maxi's quick service tranny. Something I can see would be a benefit for the pro racer (or someone who loves cool gadgetry). Practical to me and the average a-hole...no, but cool no doubt. I've experimented w/making various shit lately since I got my Bridgeport, but making up...

I first kicked my 250 from the left side/right foot. Then I got used to the awkward left foot routine, and people looked at me like I was a pint short of a gallon. This thing has sooooo much compression. I'll never be able to kick it sitting on the bike. I could have sworn I tore a hole in the sole ...

Yep...I've seen the rubber fin inserts on older (new to me back then) bikes. This one doesn't have any. I ran my finger nails over the edges of the fins and noticed the different pitces in sound. I could really make music if I had a pair of xylophone mallets. The noise doesn't bother me, I just find...

Purest form of sheer joy I've had in a long time. Just hope it doesn't put me on my ass one day. The dude I got it from said his friend's 500 was easier to start than the 480. Maybe I'm used to smaller bikes, but I've been kicking 500/600 thumpers since I was 15, this thing has some serious compress...

Thanks Michael, I owe you one. I'll have to pull the bowl and see what it has. I pumped the old gas out of it yesterday, I unscrewed the access cap on the carb and pulled the main jet. Luckily the carb was run dry before the engine was shut off, so it didn't goop up. I don't remember the jet size, b...

I didn't expect so much feedback in a short time. Yeah, I told him I'd take it. The guy that has the bike said it ran crappy. A Honda dealer checked it out and it had a bad reed, so Boysens were installed. The jug was pulled and a Wiseco was installed. He basically took it home and parked it. He put...

Something other than my beer can......
This isn't the proper place to discuss this.......but this seems to be the most viewed place on the site. I have a beer can, but I don't want to talk about that right now. I do need advice from the experts that we have here, in a way it's a no-brainer. Here goes. I have been offered the chance to pu...

Just stay with it, make time for the darn thing. I get busy and then I put mine off. Then the excitement returns and I thrash on it. Yeah, I know what goes on at the other site. The only luck I had there was bad luck. Ask a technical question and get some BS replies. This is where the real pros are....

I'm amazed at everyone's....well,....amazement. I like mick's idea of VC5R. Has a good sound to it. The gray market underground story is clever. Most people wouldn't think it was BS anyway. Nice one. The bike was positioned so the temporary splices in the swing arm wouldn't show up in the pics. I ch...
