Its been a long time since I have been able to work on the beast but in the last couple of days i have made progress. I got the frame welded with all the mounts and the coil mounted. I will post pictures in the next couple of days

Has anyone used Shanmans hose adapter on a 03 crf 450 and 91 cr500 ...

Time to get going again. I got the mounts from Shanman (thanx). aluminium stock just came in and swingarm bushing ready to go. i will post pics over the next couple of days.

Does anyone have any square tubing for the Y extensions? I just got back to work on the conversion and i'm having a hard time finding the tubing.

UPDATE

Here are the latest pictures. The Y and engine mounts have been removed. Now I am looking for the metal stock for the frame and the mount tabs. I also see why Shanman's headstay won't work. So it's back to the drawing board.

researched a little more. i have a couple ideas for the headstay. I will try to post some pics tomarrow. As for the stand :oops: I knew i should have used my trusty 2 x 4

So here it is...Starting today...My first question is should I get the swing arm alignment correct before I make any cuts?

Starting my conversion on saturday

I plan on starting on sat. I have a couple questions. I own a 03 crf450 and I dont know what gen it is. I'm using a 91 500 motor. Also whos build should i follow for that gen and does anyone make a kit for that gen. I would appreciate any help I could get.

Britincali, thats good work.

I will try to make it to pismo in july, It all depends on how long the conversion takes. Both bikes will be down for a while. Next week ill be posting on the conversion board. ALOT

My name is Branden. I own a 91 cr500 and an 03 crf450 :oops: . I have been reading the posts on this site for a while and have to say this board is great. Im going to pismo this weekend in hopes of blowing up my 4fiddy motor for good :twisted: . Starting my conversion next tuesday.
