I have two major ankle surgeries. One on June 27th and one on July 12th.
After July 12 I will not be able to put any pressure on my left foot for six
weeks. We are looking at a small VW buggy and if we get something like that
we will be there!
We are having to stay with Matt Stall and his Motor home setup pulling a trailer. Not the best Pismo setup but, we'll do our best to get it there. Zack has School for work and I have some three day meeting out of town at the sametime so, it turns out ...
 We should be leaving sometime after 5pm Wednesday. There is going to be another group coming with us that went to the Goler trip. Another stinking motor home to get stuck!
We bought another bike for Zebadiah. 440
We should be bringing another bright light for the hill, some powder milk ...
I had a blast! Weather was great, temperature couldn't have been better. Thursday the wind was just right to move the dust out of the way, the next two days there wasn't enough wind so the riders had to spread out. Today there was just the right amount of wind again. Very little but, enough. Did ...
Ok, I talked to Lewis and decided to put the "Drilled" cast piston in the bike. This will be the test, I have another new piston but, that won't matter because if this one comes apart I will have to bore the cylinder anyways. I will run it hard and see if it stays together. In the end we will know.
I am saying that just when you think it is set in stone, it gets move a week or two and you are stuck with trying to move your reservations. We would like to get our reservations now, so we don't forget and it is a done deal.
It's not mine ....well, not yet, He is only a teen and short on money. With the bottom and top end he is looking at around $1K and thought he might pickup a running engine cheaper.
I stirred it up again over on the other post I started about the Pro X honing. I didn't drill a ton of holes, just four down the exhaust side for the bridge and the big one on the intake side. It is forty over 90mm. I have new one also. Can your engine guy fix this bike for this kid? Or TREEMTRUBBLE ...
Well, now I have the new piston and the "other" new piston that has been drilled with holes. Mr. Lewis still says I can have the holes drilled and it will be fine. The question is, has someone drilled holes in the Pro X pistons and they came apart? From what i understand Mr. Lewis has and they have ...
I have split the cases on bikes engines a few times...... I think I miss getting what is needed here.....
He wants the engine rebiult and I don't want to do it, I don't even have the time to finish the second CR500R engine I split the cases on a few months ago. He wanted me to do it but, I said, no ...
I have a kid up the street come by all happy he got a CR250R and wanted to know how to fix it. Took the jug off that there is lots of play in the crank. Long story but, he got screwed. What would it cost to bring this guys engine back to snuff? Who can do it for him close by? So. Cal. Mr. Lewis you ...
If this piston has any chance of breaking I will throw it away and buy another. I was going by what Mr. Lewis told me, he had the same piston and I thought he said to drill the holes
At this point I only have holes for the bridge and the big hole on the intake side.
Well, I can't seem to wait just the few minutes it takes to get a reply......I bought a 95mm 180 grit hone. I drilled the holes a little like this: http://www.bannedcr500riders.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=616&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=27
I haven't drilled the holes on the four corner sides. Just ...
I am about to hone for my ProX piston. What grit do you guys hone with for these rings? 180 grit or 240 grit? I have a 105mm 240 grit for molly rings and was about to buy a 95mm ball hone for this cylinder. It is a 90mm piston. The bike had a weisco in it with no holes drilled and the bridge wasn't ...
Mostly riders that ride long and easy. I think the plan is to go to Trona Pinnacles, Burro Schmidt, Jawbone to watch some hill climbing. At the cabins so those that don't have a trailer can stay out of the wind.
