14/49 should be fine for you then.

I've tried it on the MX track, and it was geared too tall for where I usually ride.

well I think I may have found it now: "RAL 2002 Vermilion" also known as PPG part number PCT37230Q. Google it... it sells for about 12 bucks a pound. I'll post up again after Christmas when I get the job done... Right now I think my frame has the Chevy orange rattle-can paint job. Pretty c...

"flash red" powdercoat? sorry for the re-post....

seems this section gets the most traffic.... so.....

I'm looking for a powder-coat match for the "Flash Red" used on the '83-'87 CR frames.

Has anyone out there found one?

"flash red" powdercoat?

I'm looking for anyone who has found (and used) what they would consider a very close match for the OEM "flash red" paint used on the '83-'87 CR's.

I have found a source for paint, but would prefer powdercoating.

Thanks

Mine's got a rebuilt 460 in it, taken from a '73 Mercury. Heads are decent castings (not the shitty '72 heads), but at some point will be replaced or at least ported on the exhaust side. And needs some shorty headers. Has a 750 Holley carb, Edelbrock Torker II intake, Accel coil and Street Billet di...

Those garages are pretty cool....but as for the actual machines in the garages, Jay Leno is the undisputed king.

Someday his collection will be turned into a museum. (We can hope, cant we?)

my '58 Bird is a uni-body.

I'm told they made great 1970's demolition derby cars, so there arent so many of them left now.

Is it just me, or do those pinned 4-strokes sound absolutely awful?

Some mighty fine sand riders in this vid. That stuff is hard to get good at.

you can see the 50 years of accumulated dirt spewing out of the inside of the rocker panels on impact. Was a '59 Chevy a framed car, or a uni-body? This video reminds me that I need to get some seat belts installed in my '58 T-bird https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/657d0684007b51e0e188f421c7...

for the '84, the shop manual says "replace crankshaft" when the big end bearing is beyond service limits. Throw the whole assembly away just because the rod is worn out? BALONEY. Buy the short rod kit and have a good engine shop install it on your existing crank. I dont recall if the rod c...

Rake up the needles that fall from the white pines and use them as the mulch around those pines. They are acidic and will stop most things from growing once it gets thick enough. I use my riding mower with the bagger to suck them up in the Fall. Dont put the needles around the other trees though.

once the jetting is fixed, the silencer probably should be repacked.

Probably several cups of oil soaked into that as well.
