Gen 1 & gen 3 parts....and clutch and ignition covers

All, My machinist has moved and is up and running in the new facility. While doing so, he found a drawer full of parts (to be identified shortly) that I suspect will likely be front engine mounts (with the taper for a perfect fit on gen's 1 thru 3 and will work for gen 4), gen 1 head stays, coil rel...

If you really want to run a two sided head stay on a gen. one bike I suggest getting two thinner ones made from steel rather than trying to run the thicker aluminum plates. I ran an FEA model on the headstay I designed and I got it as thin as it can be and still have a safety factor if 2/1. The stee...

excellent progress brother! Keep chuggin' along and you will be roostin' soon! BTW: for gen. one bikes...beyond the conversion: the best money you will soend is to get your suspension DIALED professionally. It forgives some of the rigidity that some complain from on the gen. one bikes. It's essentia...

Not out of my comfort zone, just a big jump from Shans kit. I honestly spent less then $300 for the conversion part of my build and $200 was for the welding. My point for the "high" comment was... Am I paying for just cost of the parts or the work that went into developing and producing t...

I dont recommend trying to bend (form) tubing in the T6 condition...it has a lots of tempering in it and it needs to be seriously overbroken (bent past the desired angle or radius) to get your net shape. Also, in doing so, you will likely cause a ton of micro-cracks while forming. It's best to form ...

the swing arm spacers serve no purpose but to "take up space" and eliminate any side to side movement of the swingarm. The spacer material choice between stainless and aluminum is, well......immaterial.

Nice build brother...very clean!

The Ledge and the SHIT trails are definitely closer to AA stuff........although any B rider can do them....it just takes longer. The good news is tha...

Honda uses two...... nuff' said. Uhem....BULLSHIT! Honda makes concessions for cost just like every other mass producer. If you want to see what stuff looks like when there is no price point check anything Bimota builds. I will say that a single thin, hand bent headstay is NOT the correct approach,...
