That was exactly how I did the first one for the other site. I also added a stainless strike plate so the pedal could not punch a hole through the cover. Consider it done.

...hard anodize will probably last longer than your boot sole...although it would still lose a battle with the brake pedal.

Brit...not currently, as they are sized to be one sided. They could be thinned slightly and put on both sides, but that could get kind of pricey.

of course! BTW: not to be picky...but technically, your bike is more like a gen. 5 or even a gen. 6...I believe gen. 4's are really first generation CRF450R's.

Just a heads up...I am having another run of parts made...which should be available in about two weeks. Gen. 1 kits will be available through Danny Graves until he is out. I will have loose sets of engine mounts, head stays, and swingarm spacers should somebody want/need those pieces but not a whole...
