That's interesting. So he was just selling the later model trans gears? You should be able to get those used a bit cheaper.

thats what I cant figure out. he and then somebody else said they were HRC gears... Even though madman doesnt sell them anymore the webpage that he had for selling them is ...

Madman engineering...long out of business I belive or at least not interested in doing them anymore.. I looked for a set a few years back.... no luck.

a tooth went on 3rd gear and lunched 2nd, and 4th gear with it. Gotta get new gears. does anybody know of that company that was making long ratio gears for the CR500?

So my bike was all set. My engine builder threw the motor in the rolling chassis and took it for a good 15 or 20 mile ride. On the way back to his house (while I was on my way to pick it up) something went in the bottom end, the rear end locked up, and it cracked the brand new left side case in two ...

It will be finished by next weekend... here it is as of today.

Bike should be done on friday hopefully. was supposed to be in July but my engine builder fell and was road rashed up bad, then was supposed to be done last friday but he fell on a clay driveway and got a concussion.

Best to cut the kickstand shorter especially if you have a fair bit of sag. It'll be way too tipsy otherwise.

He's got an obsolete E-line lighting coil that pumps out 200w that will do a good job of keeping those lit, especially if they're HID ones because they use less ...

its going back together over the next month or so. The engine builder has the engine all apart and all parts ready for the rebuild. he said the crank was still good. he is doing new crank bearings though.

Michelin Pilot Power tires. Regular soft compound up front and 2CT dual compound in the rear. (since this is a street machine and the 500 has so much tq I went with the dual compound so I dont wear out the middle so quickly)

hey I am looking for petcock info too. I would like to switch to a petcock from another bike that has a "reserve" as well as an on. Seeing as I ride mine as a supermoto I want to have that buffer in case I loose track and run out on the road...
