So do you race enduros up around Darwin/Adelaide River ? Done a couple out there about 13 years ago on a 93 CR 500. Even beat AJ,although he was on a KX 100 and he was just a kid ha ha.

Never really looked into it myself.Can ask around Perth area if you like though. I do have the phone number of the guy who has built 11 winning Finke engines though.He is in Victoria. If you want to talk to him I will be home on the weekend and can get his number.

Yeah I have 98 CR 250 carb which is a PJ 27,my other 500 one is a PJ 28,but they have the same diameter so Id like to know the same thing. Can anyone help ? Cheers

On my CRF 450 AF the original steelie kickstart was flogged out so I used the kickstart from a 98 CR 250 and its fits nicely.

Yeah Danny its the R model CRF.Thanks again,need to order a heap of stuff online so was trying to sort out everything I need to get it all on the 1 order.

Shaggy,I didnt post my build on here till I had finished it.I didnt want to feel pressured to keep updating the progress of it as I took a long time to do it.Maybe thats worth thinking about with the next build and just take ya time.

Danny,I thought you had done a gen 4 450 ? Mine was the 05 450R and for some reason I thought you had the same model as me,or was yours 04 ?

Anyway if I am going to do another build I would go for the gen 3 CR250,much easier than the 450.I thought the 450 was a pain in the ass.

I would love to see 500 2 strokes win Finke again

Be cool to see but I cant see it happening while the factory boys' 450's and 505's are obviously getting the job done. (apart from the Honda EFI filter issues)

yeah the 380's are sick.I know I'll probably rock the boat but my opinion is they are a fast as a CR 500.

Each to their own.....Im a KTM man but have 2 Honda's. KTM have enough world enduro,Australian Enduro, and GNCC championships (and 1st,2nd at Finke this year) to speak for themselves.... So there is not much of an argument there !!

Was pretty much all new trails apart from the last couple of K's where we come back into the control. Nah fuck riding the 500 in enduro's. Have a KTM 300 for that. 500 might be ok for the Indy 500 though....

ive raced mx for 15 or so years. injured my knee 3 years ago so havnt done much since golden wheel classic is my aim for this year and some club mx. at the moment works crazy so i dont have that much free time wouldnt mind having a crack at the state round enduro you coming up tho Sorry didnt see y...
