So the ECM is shorter than? I didn't measure it but it is a 1/4-1/2" shorter than a standard plug and only a couple of bucks more. I think it is a standard plug for one of the ktm 300s. There was a photo on here somewhere with the 2 plugs side by side but can't find it. Maybe some one smarter ...

i have decided to rebuild my 450. i think the rebuild may come out cheaper than i was initially thinking as well. Didn't you mention money being a little tight and not wanted to spend a fortune? This is just my opinion, putting money into that old 450 would be the WORST use of money you could ever ...

Clearance is the issue. I have an 04 450 and the tank wont clear the plug. I have an aftermarket non-resistor cap and it's close. Thinking MAYBE if I massage the drain tube it might work. I rotated my outlet on the tank(03 450) 180deg and using the shorter BR8ECM. I only had to heat and angle the o...

I think rotella is as good as any to use in the gearbox. I've always wondered why people spend high $$$ on oil for the tranny. I chang...

I'm not saying it is the cause but I can't help but wonder if bending the tube in T6 condition played a part in the breaks. I do think the mounts should have been wider as you already said. Props to you for showing the busted rails and those billets look bad ass! May have a break some where else but...

Forgot to add, nice to see you around Danny!

You will need the engine bushings bored or replaced to accept the larger swingarm bolt on the 85 motor. As for full cradle vs spliced, you could get lots of opinions on that and this is just mine. While the full cradle looks better, I wouldn't do it unless you had the means to anneal the new tubing ...
