Oddly the cheapest PWKs on ebay are the newest. I snagged a like new one from a 2008 RM250 for $70. Swaged a piece of stainless to get the length back up, plus a bit to fit my particular AF better. Its epoxied on. Had to strip the the powervalve and TPS off but that took all of 10 minutes.

The float was checked and appears to be in spec. I say appears because I'm not certain I was holding the carb at the proper angle, while facing north and pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth. I really don't think its low on the PWK and it definitely wasn't on the PJ carb.

Power loss after running hard
Hi. I hope someone can out help on a problem that has me baffled.
After accelerating hard through a couple of gears my 500af looses power. It feels pretty much exactly like fuel starvation but the flow rate appears to be ample. Its been triple checked.

There is one difference between CRF450 and CR500 standard Rekluse kits.
The 500 makes more torque down low so some of the steel balls must be replaced with heavier tungsten carbide balls. Rekluse recommended 15 tungsten balls and these cost about $75. So there's the price difference.
