Oddly the cheapest PWKs on ebay are the newest. I snagged a like new one from a 2008 RM250 for $70. Swaged a piece of stainless to get the length back up, plus a bit to fit my particular AF better. Its epoxied on. Had to strip the the powervalve and TPS off but that took all of 10 minutes.

There is such a thing as an override, and it can be used with a left hand brake.

I generally ride at least 4 times a week, more if I can. A priority in building this AF was being easy to live with. Its definitely easy now.

It has :

G2 throttle cam system - totally worth the money for technical riding
Flexxbars - nice for the whooped out tracks I ride

The float was checked and appears to be in spec. I say appears because I'm not certain I was holding the carb at the proper angle, while facing north and pressing my tongue against the roof of my mouth. I really don't think its low on the PWK and it definitely wasn't on the PJ carb.

Hi. I hope someone can out help on a problem that has me baffled.

After accelerating hard through a couple of gears my 500af looses power. It feels pretty much exactly like fuel starvation but the flow rate appears to be ample. Its been triple checked.

I have a Gopro wide in standard resolution and its just ok.

I recently picked up a veho Muvi for $70 shipped and its better than the Gopro in every criteria I care about. I may buy another one to film forward and aft!

My KTM EXC520 has a Magura hydraulic and its been a pain in the ass. If there's even a tiny leak it will suck air from that little reservoir. The only way to bleed it is to reverse pressure bleed with a syringe.

I refill the reservoir habitually but still loose the clutch every now and then.

I'm still having trouble seeing how a fixed consistent operation is better than a skilled hand in ALL situations.

My unit is not the Z start pro but it has the perch kit so the clutch lever works as usual, but with a much lighter pull. Its best of both worlds IMHO.

That's just it, you lose the fine off idle low speed control that can be critical for certain obstacles. I'd be real curious to know if any trials guys have tried one and know what they thought of it.

I'd love to here from the motard crowd on this. Perhaps the Gen 1s would make the best supermotos? Tuning out the dreaded wheel chatter might be easier with such a rigid frame.

I've got a 97, a spare 85 motor, and a wheel set so this is pretty temping!

There is one difference between CRF450 and CR500 standard Rekluse kits.
The 500 makes more torque down low so some of the steel balls must be replaced with heavier tungsten carbide balls. Rekluse recommended 15 tungsten balls and these cost about $75. So there's the price difference.

I can't think of a significant downside. For MX on a 500 the Rekluse rules. It helps keep you from getting tired. Corner entries, exits and starts are awesome.

This may be controversial but for me a perfect cr500 must have a Rekluse clutch.

Gen 3 AF with 92 motor and 96 250 ignition. I'm currently running about 5 degree advance. No detonation and starts first kick. I plan to keep playing around looking for more top end.
