What bothers me about that is...this is the UNITED STATES of America! A country made up of 50 free thinking independant communities. The federal government isn't supposed to order States what to do, it's supposed to help each free thinking state as best it can. If it doesn't like what a particular S...

The owner is a member of the other site. That's where I got this pic...he has others posted in his build thread. Was built very well by BTR Moto.

It's well known ethanol raises compression, but it's not the compression we speak of when we talk about race fuels. :lmao: I didn't realize I wrote "compression". Doh! I meant octane  but just maybe  E85 is pure grain Ethanol with an Octane of around 116 mixed with 15% (roughl...

Oh gosh...is that because somebody read it has an octane rating of 100-105?? So you know that's RON. The way I see it E85 is 81 octane, Motor Octane Number that is. A number of premium pump fuels are rated at 95-96 MON. It's well known ethanol raises compression, but it's not the compression we spea...

Yes exactly. Not that I or anyone else is gonna feel a difference on the bike. I figure dumping the steel sleeve puts a CR500 powerplant another decade ahead of the fourstrokes in power : weight ratio. One way of looking at it is power only benefits you when you're on the throttle. Reduced weight is...

But that's expecting to have a problem isn't it? A plated bore could mitigate alot of accidents that happen altogether as well. But I understand, if you were to mess up so bad you did ruin a jug you're not riding again for $200.

Re: engine coatings

I'm rebuilding a 91 motor and I want it to be really reliable Take your time, do the research and spend the loot to rebuild it correctly. All the engine coatings in the world can't save a piss poor rebuild. That being said, could it have been the coatings that saved my motor last fall during a race...
