...maybe it's even enough to just bend the braked a few degrees towards the front to make just a little more room... Thank you very much for the replies, I did not even notice until now, this forum doesn't seem to send notifications over email... I did bend the bracket just a bit and it's OK like t...

Hurky's gen3 CR250
Hi there, hope you're well. We are in lockdown in Spain since more than 8 weeks (they are relaxing things now..) so I finally got some time to work at the project. Motor was placed in the frame and I installed the MSV manifold and the DEP pipe. I removed the springs from the forks and installed them...

Re: STIC metering block
As far as I've read and heard it works pretty good (at least on KTM's etc.., didn't hear anything on a CR5 yet..) I am myself also interested and know more about it, by what I understand it provides the Keihin PWK with some of the benefits of metering rod carbs like the Lectron but I am not sure if ...

I'm really old-school regarding social networks, I have an FB account but that's it, what I like on FB is that you can ask something really fast and you normally get an answer in a few minutes. The problem, that information will get lost very soon as it is mostly impossible to search for anything so...

Hi there, I recently prepared the backplate of a CR250 2001 stator to fit the CR500 crankcase. Inspired by asteroid500 I gave it a try. As I have no router I needed to be creative, I have a vertical drill press and this old wood 'end-mill': https://bannedcr500riders.com/images/auto/f064154e4cd45bc3f...

Thanks a lot for this useful info. Do I need to take much off the OD from the basket ? (this would need to be done in a lathe I suppose and would debilitate the basket..) Not sure if it make sense to use the CR250 clutch, the only attraction for me is to be able to use the Barnett with steel inserts...

Greetings from Spain
I can't believe that I didn't present me the day I registered here. Well, I'm from Spain and I'm finally started to build my 500, still at a very early phase of collecting part's but slowly I'm getting all the needed bits together. The "bike" right now: https://bannedcr500riders.co...

CR250 Clutch basket on a CR500 ??
Hi all !,
Is it possible to use a CR250 clutch basket for the CR500 ?
I would like to use the Barnett steel momentum basket, or even a Barnett with the steel inserts for a longer service-life.
I think I need to use some part's out of the CR250, does anyone have details ?
Cheers
