Figured this thread could use some closure. I hate when stuff like this is left hanging, so I'd better not do it myself :D Anyways, everything is installed and works fine. She doesn't lurch forward anymore when you put it in gear. Neutral is slightly easier to find, but not perfect. I'll figure that...

Thanks for the info, but I might not need it, because I'm replacing the whole clutch with 250 parts. http://www.bannedcr500riders.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=13790 I don't remember the lifter rod being scored like at, so hopefully that bushing is fine. I will check when I go to install the new clutch ...

I need the brackets, and rubber bushings that support the silencer, and expansion chamber. If anyone has them they are willing to sell, let me know.
Thanks

WTB 250 clutch basket
I need a stock basket from a cr250 with the small gear in good condition for a Barnett basket I plan to install in my 500. Or just the kick start gear. If anyone knows where I can buy a new one, that would help too. All I can find are baskets that come with it, but not the gear by it's self. Thanks ...

OK, ordered everything except the cable, and added a hinson clutch cushion replacement kit. I'm still not sure witch cable you were refering to, but it looks like amazon has a wide range of motion pro stuff cheaper than PZ, so no rush. I'll post again when the parts arrive, and I have exact specs fi...

Roosti, are you talking about the motion pro terminator clutch cable? Would it be OK to send you a PM directly? http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/aftermarket/XP-4082545.html I still haven't found a cable described as heavy braided. I did find this on the riders forum though. (edit: my iPad is re...

I think that's number 18 washer 23x48 on the 250 clutch diagram that goes between the hub and basket. All the little bits I listed are from the 02 cr250 except the lifter arm, it's two bearings, seal, and lifter rod. So I need to switch the lifter rod (#12 in the 500 clutch diagram) to the #13 lifte...

87 upgrade to 250 clutch?
I already posted a thread about an issue with my clutch dragging, but have decided to skip tracking down the problem, and just replace everything. This is because I don't trust the person who put this thing together before I bought it. That, and I don't feel like fixing one problem, only to find ano...

Unfortunately it's already been done, and idk if it was done carefully enough, because my friend let me do some of the work to teach me. I've been accused of being a perfectionist, so I cringe at the thought of leaving it to chance.... that, and the idea of a broken plate chewing up the inside of my...

After doing a lot more reading about other member's clutch issues, and set ups I'm kind of concerned about putting the filed clutch basket back in :( Even though I can buy a new basket, I can't find the clutch center hub for the old clutch design that roostious maximus pointed out that my bike has, ...

So have you had to replace that before? Did it cause you the same problem I'm having? The clutch plates and springs came yesterday... but idk about installing everything if it's just going to have to come apart again, and use another gasket, and another bottle of oil. Thanks for the advice on this. ...

The design for the tank decal has been turned into a vector graphic. It might get stretched and resized some when I have time to take some measurements before it's cut. I also made that side view into a vector graphic so I can try different colors on the frame before it gets painted..... probably st...

Not much... 220mm is what I got for the rod length. Is that OK? still waiting on those clutch plates and springs, but my friend who I mentioned earlier took a look in the clutch, and couldn't really say just what the problem is. Now I think it could be the clutch lifter instead of the lifter rod... ...

Well I finally got the new clutch cover last Friday, and started the work Sunday morning. The situuation went from bad to worse :( the bearing is there, and intact, but I forgot to check the length of the rod. No mater, as it has to come apart again, because the springs and clutch plates are at the ...
