Gearing for motocross

What are you guys running as far as gearing goes? I was at 14/52 very tough to keep under me. Now running 15/52 and the bike seems to pull all gears longer And it's more predictable on power delivery for me . 85 motor 05 frame. pull the flywheel, make sure the key is not sheered and rotated. Kuma, Thanks for the reply, the key was not sheared. I did find a spot where one of the wires going to the CDI had at one time shorted against the frame In the old chassis. A direct short can't be good for a 28 year old CDI. I don't h...

This is how I drilled the case on my 85 motor for the yz250 bushings first thing I did was drive the factory collar out with a punch. I used a step drill with a final size of 7/8" and a ratchet and did it by hand Takes about ten minutes for both sides. The bushing fits perfect in the case with ...

I just used these collars on my conversion& drilled the case (assembled)
With a 7/8 step drill worked great.the collars are tight and the correct size to fit in the 85 case. I'm installing a 85 motor in a 05 crf250 frame.
